Mephisto Genetics White Crack + Sour Livers SIP LOS Grow

Moved GOLDIE out of the middle position to the left side, she was still showing signs of light avoidance - PAR Readings lower on the left so will see how she grows as well as Strawberry NUGS in the middle - 24K meanwhile on the right is doing very well

Notice slight inward cupping on leaf tips - I believe she is getting too much light even though only about 315 PAR - she now will receive around 285 ..... The light is about 40” above and started at 50% but have worked up to 66% and she can’t handle it yet

Soon the worms will be getting some dried comfy I found left over from previous harvest ...... Not much but I am soaking them now and will make some comfy water but more importantly the leaves will get fed to the worms and they will turn into some killer fertilizer - don’t have a whole lot but some better than none and the batch already harvested is in the planters already being digested by the worms .....

Dark brown center material - note the new green growth coming out with a winter warm up .....

Working on day 19-20 with Gold Glue and 24K ...... Strawberry Nugs, middle girl, is about 12 days old - not really sure on her birthdate without going back and looking at pics which I’m not into at the moment .....

Today we did a little cleanup and a little top dressing on Goldie and 24k .... Too Dress was simply some comfy leaves from the yard and some amendments - Comfy soaked overnight, I then wrung it out and placed into a bucket with some dirt - then added some amendments and mixed It all together and then took out comfy and lid on top of soil, sprayed to help activate the amendments, especially the kashi and put rain cap back on .....

Getting dialed up for a LOS Grow ......

Earlier this year we grew a monster 12 oz. dried in Living Organic Soil - LOS ...... Sam‘s Crack was a Mephisto experimental strain that earned top honors in the Mephisto Grow Battle .... We were scheduled to compete in the final grow battle of the year but a summer move prevented us from growing .... but .....

But we are all settled in our new digs and it’s time to fire up the lights ......

Over the summer I kept my LOS alive / fed and watered the worms and they survived and actually thrived over the summer / fall months ...... I have fed the worms things like karanja, kelp, barley, shredded leaves and vegetable scraps .... here is a pic of some of the soil / worms ....

So now the plan is to start a few new girls with some amended Living Organic Soil along with some new soil I had left over from last grow .... The soil I am using is from KIS and BuildaSoil mixed together along with Sam’s LOS from earlier grow ...... I’ll be growing in EarthBox Juniors ..... The EarthBox is a self watering container called a SIP Container - SIP stands for self irrigated planter ..... With a SIP Container you never have to worry about should I water, you simply keep the reservoir full of water and the water is absorbed up into the soil, keeping the soil at a perfect moisture level for the entire grow ..... Here is a pic of four EarthBox Juniors .....

When these guys get a little bigger they will get transplanted in the their new homes ......

Also to supplement / top dress / fertilize I will using homegrown worm castings - I truly believe the earthworm are the World’s BEST Gardeners and I work very hard to keep my worms thriving in their little worm bins - I also grow vegetables so I use a lot of worm castings, thus three bins ....... When I feel the need for more fertilizer I simply take a handful or two of castings and top dress my SIP Container - I might also add some amendments depending on growth stage ......

subbed subbed subbed! when youve got chance mate could we have a chat you seem to be an expert r.e worms, im growing in coco/hydroton mix fed with dutch pro, i went to water yesterday and noticed 2 worms coming out of 1 of my girls, they were under the fabric pot, is this good or bad? how the hell have i got worms using the medium i am? not that im bothered just really interested as to how ive got worms in coco? p.s i am a noob lol

might have to try those containers.. could even have spares and rotate with each new planting..

SIP Containers make growing easier ....... No need to worry, did I give her enough water or did I overwater ......

In a SIP Container Water is wicked Up into the soil and all you do is fill the Reservoir ......

Growth rivals hydro as the roots are in a perfect environment all the time getting just the right amount of water.
