Mephisto Genetics White Crack + Sour Livers SIP LOS Grow

ALL THIS TALK ABOUT SOIL but we must not overlook how important the environment is ..... we want our temps for new borns around 85 degrees and the kids in the 78-82 range and when we get into flower we like lower temps along with lower humidity ..... I don’t exactly hit every temp/humidity level perfect but I do try and follow a VPD Chart as found here:

Also note when looking at the chart you will see top column that has soil moisture millibar readings and how that soil moisture plays a role in where your temp/ humidity should be .....

Another helpful number to know is the co2 level ...... 700-800 is minimum you want and up to 1500-1600 is real good ......

and finally the amount of light your plants are receiving- the number in this grow we are interested I is the PAR and the amount depends on lots of things such as strain - a Sativa with.skinny leaves can handle more light than say a fat leaf Indica and there will also be differences even within the same strain so reading your plant and taking notes is important- even if note is just a stoner mental note, pay attention .......

Co2 naturally in basement is good level and this is without any supplemental source

Temp and humidity levels remain fairly constant - Grow is running 24/7 making it easier to keep in tighter range

@Jc420bigbud Hey hi Jc ..... how’s it going - Any round number totals from your summer grow?

I don’t stay in the joint in the summer, too hot/humid there ...... Last year my buddy watched a couple plants for us but next year he won’t be around so unless I just plant a couple and let them go wild I won’t have anything growing but I should have something brewing in the tent ......

Yes I feed dry amendments along with leaf and / or straw mulch as well as root hormones and I add to the water either EM1 or Mammoth P every watering except maybe skip a watering here or there ...... Bio activity is important when you grow in a constant moist media - as we know the roots also need oxygen and EM1 and Mammoth P help create that bio actively - at least that is my understanding- all I know is I have good results doing, so I do - most top dressing is done as I see the worms need more matter to eat, red worms are BIG eaters so as they eat I add mulch and I’ll add dry amendments to that mulch - stufff like rock dust, alpha, kelp etc - I’ll change up the dry amendments as they go thru their life cycle as well .....

I will also add buildabud or something like Budswell to the water as she moves to bud stage and believe it or not I might even spray feed ...... Here’s some pics of my “additions“ ....

Alpha Pellets - Kelp - Karanja in bulk .... You can obtain this stuff cheap from a feed / farm supply store .... having a love for outdoor gardening I already had these on hand before I grew any weed

These next two pics are inside grow room and most are specific to the growing of weed .... kelp for example is simply something I’ve used for years and now I simply fill an old bag with shed supply stock

So what are the criteria you look for in a plant characteristic? What made u decide on ur genetics this round? Are u growing for self medication? Just getting a buzz ? Maybe both like myself. Ive got some super good recipies for gummy bears or topical rubs if ur into any of that ?

I am just an old stoner from the muscle car days - I like Mephisto mostly due to that’s what I’ve been exposed here at AFN - I did get some Brooklynn Sunrise Seeds I’m going to run next year, so excited about that ....

Wife is into rubs and oil but myself mostly flower - hope next summer is less humid for you and not so much rain in September- your crop would of been even better if not for those humid rainy days towards the end.

I believe this light is going to preform well, I absolutely love it ...... Will know more as we move along but I think it will be a game changer for me .....

Plants are being grown in what they call a SIP CONTAINER- On the bottom of the pot a reservoir holds water and the water thru capillary action wicks water up thru the peat based soil mix so I simply add water to the reservoir as needed ...... So far about a gallon between two plants .....

PH of the water is around 6.85 or so but I have not checked, using rain water, and don’t worry about PH at all - Living Organic Soil will buffer and correct any issues with water - In a LOS Grow you don’t need to worry about PH so long as not too far off and your soil is alive.

Looking good! Looks like they are taking off now! Full speed ahead. Both of those are Indica based, I can tell they are going to be bushes already. I will be following closely. I have to do some Top Dressings tonight . My Build a soil package came late, so I have to make time tonight. I have a couple Sour Crack going, they are preflowering decently. I made some Popcorn Sprouts, will be ready to blend up later. I am really enjoying my garden here these days. Good luckx oeace slow

They are 7 days into transplant and starting to take off and the training will take off in earnest but right now I’m just doing a little to help bring the lower buds up - here’s a few hour old pic of 24k - she looks like an easy gal to train ..... right now I’ve got two large CC on the cola bending the cola sideways while a smaller CC holds down a fan leaf to let a bud site grow up
