Just found this thread and must say that I am amazed of what was achieved with these setups
I've recently measured the PPFD (umol/m2/s) of a few different household bulbs. I love the DIY part of making custom lights and often get ideas myself to fill in shaded spots in one way or another.
In this video I test: 9w LED, 14w LED, 9w CFL, and 18w CFL.
I test bulbs at 2" and 6" distance and the results could possibly help you guys out in tuning in the distances and see how large area a specific bulb covers.
