Trim SCROG?!

Sorry... too medicated to read the thread so I just looked at the pics....

Probably already been said... but....

With SCROG i think many people open it up a bit for light and for spread and yield and such... even if you are not into that kind of thing yours is pretty darn dense... one old saying is "if ya gotta tuck it, snip it"

Maybe experiment with your next grow and try that and see if you like the results better.... or not.

Also in your last few pics you appear to have multiple issues going on... I would suggest asking @Waira about that... I always enjoy watching him diagnose.... :smoking:

PS: if your sugars start crisping back near trim level I would consider doing some selective harvesting if they were mine... especially with the varying ripeness showing.

:smokeout:

Peace

Ok thanks for reply

Because I can’t get to all the pots I have been giving them 4 litres every 5 days and they have been sucking the run off back in. I did that mix as the grow shop suggested it. Light on temp 28-30c off is 18-22 humidity I struggled with for a while but now have it in the mid 50s. This is third grow so had no probs so always thought ph was ok. Don’t know ex/ppm I am a beginner.

Alright well

  1. Grow shop should have recommended coco and possible perlite for drainage. Are you using calmag
  2. Coco should be watered every day, multiple times a day for the most growth
  3. That grow shop is trash. You need an EC meter and a pH pen to grow in coco. It's a hydroponic medium
  4. You need to let those out drain away somewhere otherwise you're just causing salt to buildup
  5. That humidity was too low. Below 40% can cause a calcium issues and I don't think I saw you supplementing with CalMag. Coco holds a lot of it so it should always be added. 50% humidity isn't bad, if your airflow was weak then some defoliation would have been in order but you've lost upper leaves already.

I felt the weight of the pots and they weren’t light until day 5 ‍♂️

That isn't how coco works. It can't be over watered. When you let it dry out it accumulates salts from your fertilizer that are basically causing the problems you're having now

Finish time
Thanks for everyone’s reply’s, brain getting a bit fried on what to do. I have just checked and if you count putting seeds in water at very start today is day 75 (this is how long they are meant to take) this is why I thought the browning was the plant coming to the end of its life. I hear what you are saying about salt build up but as I was 50% soil and the pots were still heavy and felt damp on day 4 after water I had to extend to a 5th day between watering.

Also important to note that it is only on the 25% of plants that are practically finished all the other plants with white pistols don’t have it.

Breeder times are estimates but a lot of variables can impact finishing time. Senescence doesn't look like that though.

I've seen people complain on here about the coco soil hybrid mixes but I've never seen it. Coco coir is supposed to always remain moist otherwise salt buildup can occur in the root zone. IDC what anyone says coco is supposed to be watered multiple times per day with a top fed drip irrigation system. A 5.8-6.2 pH and a low EC with CalMag supplementation is standard operating procedure while getting runoff that gets dumped.

I guess I’m in damage limitation mode at moment, I’m going to cut away all the damaged leaves and give water today which is one day early and try to suck out the run off

I think it would be best to do nothing right now. This isn't a conventional medium so I am out of advice lol @Waira @Mañ'O'Green might have some suggestions cause all I can think to do is flush BUT you don't have meters so it might do more harm than good.

Trimmed and watered
I have spent 1.5 hours de foliating but they don’t look much different and fed them a day early water only.
