Trim SCROG?!

this is what I am realising I have had some really good comments from some of the moderators including you over the last couple of days which have made me really think. I plan to keep some choice buds and throw everything else into the RSO. I have attached some pictures from this morning some of the buds have brown pistols but most of them are all totally white. I think I have a good 3 weeks so if you think I still have time I will do a load of work on them later. I thought the little buds low down getting no light would be good for the rso, they feel sticky, if I cut them out now is that a waste? I’m starting to think I need to remove a lot of material. The grow is a very sensitive situation at my house so I won’t be able to do another for a long time. ThanksView attachment 1163268

Do you have some nutrient burn or pH issues going in those upper leaves?

Now that the pics are in natural light, we can see that there is definitely some sort of issue happening, and that it's been happening for weeks! Some of the tops don't look like they will have a healthy leaf left come harvest.

They're pretty bad off at the tops but the lower foliage doesn't look bad. I don't know much to be of any help in situations like this though lol.

Can you get us a shot of them with a camera flash in the dark? The HPS is muddling the colors but it looks like a pH issue.

I just thought the leafs start to die off near the end i am on third grow and others went ok so I don’t check all that stuff, just de gas the water and add nutes With water every 5 days 5 litres
pH don’t know
EC or ppm+ scale don’t know
Nutrients Dutch grow a+b coco 3ml p litre
Medium 50% coco 50% bio biz light mix
Temperature about 28c with light (sometimes hits 30c and 18-22c light off light is 20-4)
Humidity around 55%

I would say about 25% have leaves from buds going crispy, they are the plants nearest to finishing. That’s why I thought it was ok.

I have just replied to another post on this but in case you don’t see it here are some pictures, you guys got me worried now, I just run out to my summerhouse in my pants to get these pictures! I have been putting pictures on for the whole grow and no one mentioned they were going brown so I thought that was the natural process of the plant starting to die. I have had newts with water every five days all the way through apart from one time where they just had water. Dutch Pro a+b

In your journal it looks like this had started to happen Wednesday.

Why did you mix coco and biobizz? Are you watering to runoff every time? Normally in coco you want a 5.8-6.2 with light multiple feedings. It looks like it could be a lockout or salt build up but something is wrong at the roots.

What is your pH, EC/PPM, temperature, and humidity? It could be that you letting them sit in the same tray that they get runoff in is the whole problem. Coco is a drain to waste medium so it has to get those salts away. The pots can't sit in their own runoff. It's also possibly why your plants are taking longer to finish because they are stalling from a root issue

Because I can’t get to all the pots I have been giving them 4 litres every 5 days and they have been sucking the run off back in. I did that mix as the grow shop suggested it. Light on temp 28-30c off is 18-22 humidity I struggled with for a while but now have it in the mid 50s. This is third grow so had no probs so always thought ph was ok. Don’t know ex/ppm I am a beginner.

Sorry... too medicated to read the thread so I just looked at the pics....

Probably already been said... but....

With SCROG i think many people open it up a bit for light and for spread and yield and such... even if you are not into that kind of thing yours is pretty darn dense... one old saying is "if ya gotta tuck it, snip it"

Maybe experiment with your next grow and try that and see if you like the results better.... or not.

Also in your last few pics you appear to have multiple issues going on... I would suggest asking @Waira about that... I always enjoy watching him diagnose.... :smoking:

PS: if your sugars start crisping back near trim level I would consider doing some selective harvesting if they were mine... especially with the varying ripeness showing.

:smokeout:

Peace

Had a look through pics and it’s been showing for about 2 weeks. The fabric pots have 1 inch of clay balls at the bottom and there is never more runoff than that. I think the material of the pots wick the runoff back up but soil never sits in it.
