Trim SCROG?!

Sorry one more question, because I watered plain water yesterday (1 day early) I don’t have any de gassed water. I just filled my buckets up and raised temp to room temp and let the water fall from a height into the bucket to try and knock some chlorine out of it. Can I use that water today? Obviously the plain water created run off which they sucked up about 10 hours ago.
Yours look great by the way but I guess that’s because you’re an expert!
I would hold off on defoliation for a few days to give the plants a breather. But if airflow is a problem be sure to do a little at a time after a couple of days until the air flow is good. I just did my grow today:

Thanks for your reply, the grow shop told me to use these fabric pots with an inch of clay balls in the bottom so they didn’t sit in run off but they must be wicking, I gave them all 4 litres of plain water when they still felt heavy today and there was a lot of runoff but when I checked about 5 hours later all the runoff was gone. I did 2 grows before to make RSO for dad and that’s all I have done but they went ok so I stuck with all same methods nutes except I needed smaller pots last time I had air pots. Also presumed my water was ok with the Dutch Pro nutes.
Air wise I am 27-30c with light on 18-24c off (20/4) humidity ranges between 48-60%
i have a fan underneath lolly popped bottom and one across the canopy. There is a picture but it’s not great from a few weeks ago attached.

i would be shitting my pants if i had a canopy that dense.. of course having to bin 12 oz of bud infected with powdery mildew has that effect..get in there and start clearing the undergrowth out asap.. slightly less bud is always better than none at all, because you end up with pm from lack of airflow, which u definitely have..(lack of airflow, not pm!)
at the very least add 4x more fans, you are at a critical point ..bud density etc...

Thinned our canopy
Have taken advice from here and put fabric pots on bricks so they can’t wick the run off, thanks @manogreen I watered 50% strength and bought a wet vac to suck out the run off. The next thing I have done is to thin out the canopy and moved things around and added 2 more fans. You can now see through the canopy in most places and the buds have a bit of breathing space.
Thanks for everyone’s input.

Next time you grow fill the fabric pots with your medium only. Under the pots, on the trays put a layer of pebbles (marble, lava rock etc) so the pot drains without reabsorbing the run off. What runs off should stay off, it is unnecessary and it follows the only way it should follow. Plants have their way to keep what they need from the medium and the medium can only absorb a certain amount of water but needs the run off to get rid of many salts that are only a source of toxicity. Coco is unforgiving compared to soil in such an event.
If you want to mix Coco with a soil, prefer the scenario where soil is the main ingredient and not coco, 25% Coco is the maximum you can have. Soil is more forgiving and provides a buffer for nutrient problems, Coco is more manageable when it comes to flushing and overwatering but cannot be treated as soil since it's buffer properties are almost zero.
Also if you SCROG then lollipoping and defoliation are part of your every day routine along and equal to/with spreading the canopy on the trellis. That goes for both indoors and outdoors, since SCROG is a traditional style of grow for many outdoor crops not only cannabis, all of them involving heavy pruning activity. You need air to create many bud sites (smaller than a single large one but with bigger yield overall, quantity is a quality in itself) and also to avoid mould and rotting issues.

Thanks a lot, some good info there. As you may of guessed I’m new to this!

Got these cabinet organizer shelving units. 2 for $5 US. Easy to manipulate. 2and photo shows canopy level. 3rd photo shows I have a plant that is significantly taller than the other 2. It is on the floor of the tent with a "cooling rack" beneath it.
Standard kitchen item for cooling cakes and pies on etc. The cooling rack is about 1.5" tall. Cabinet organizers 8".
Agreed about soil etc. IMO coco grows should be organic and if you get a firm grasp on microbes they do all of the buffering for you. That is my exp anyway.

Some resourceful thinking going on there I like it. Plants look great too!

Thank you.
