There are so many variables. Which brand hps? Type of hps? Coverage area of the hps? What I will tell you with 100% certainty is that I would take one adjustable cob over 150 watts of hps. 55-150. Larger scale 4x55 over a 600w hps and that’s just light output and not the savings in energy and heat. I should fire up my hps and do some par readings for my own personal satisfaction. Some companies state high efficiency with their hps than others but all hps has much lower ppfd or light hitting the canopy per watt than cobs based on efficiency and mainly because the cobs are directional.

You can buy 4 AutoCobs for 499 and you can buy a gavita 600 for 400 dollars. There are cheaper hps and there are more expensive cobs. Basically the world is switching to cobs. Even a lot more commercial growers too. Seeing 2 grams per watt in my own space and one grower recently broke 3 grams per watt with Autocobs here on Afn. You almost never see hps grows break 1 gram per watt. Hear about it but rarely see it. At the end of the day grams per watt is all that really matters to me and most others. More product for a lower monthly cost. As far as setup cost goes most people usually double or triple their light cost with the first harvast alone. These lights will last for years and years without any maintenance either like bulb changes on hps.

There is also a bulk discount too if you are interested in that many cobs through cobshop. Depending on location they usually arrive to your door step in 2-3 days too.

Yeah man thanks for that early morning read and yes thats biggest part why im goong cob cause of the light basically i want more efficiency and less headache grom hps to hahaga.... hmmmmm yeah il have to nosey at cobshop again pal.....

Happy it helped. Basically growers in general are also impatient. One grow with a super pheno and they are in love with everything they used. Was it the mammoth p, genetics, light or how they planted the seed on a full moon  After dozens and dozens of grows I can say that none of the above has done to much to help my harvasts besides the common denominator -cobs. Training is free, cobs are fairly inexpensive and harvasts are great. Add supplements or plant on a full moon at your own expense. Lol.

Thats just it its ur lightbspectrum qnd you timings for feeds etc... that factor in a yeild not full moons half moons and total fucktards eclipses haha you could have worst of genetics but produce the best of harvests using cobs but then grow a good strong phe o with leds or hps and get a mediocre harvest ...... its all in the wave lenghts and penetration of the different specrums of light and a few other factors suck as temps ...... hold on il plant this kush strain on a fullmoon il sprinkle it with straberry pollen and call it bloody wolf kush ...... smoke it an youl turn to a werewolf bwahahahahahahaha
