Indoor The Green Man Grows - FastBud's Stardawg & Pyramid Seed's Auto Blue Pyramid + Soil head to head

I would definitely get a soil probe if your mixing your own. and the ph perfect line only use half recommendations once a week. And use a liter bottle to mix nutes. Its way more simple than mixing big batches. I actually just got rid of my an products ill use biobizz and ff of soil this next grow going simple but less is more with autos I believe.

Thanks for the assist , Dude :d5:. I have a probe and the soil was like battery acid when I tested it earlier, so I flushed and she has perked up a bit in terms of her general appearance. I've just mixed up and pH'ed some cal-mag+ and given her a litre of that to try and stop the calcium deficiency in its tracks. If it doesn't get worse I'll assume she's taking up feed again and commence the nutes in a few days? I'm feeding them all pretty light at the moment, been building up from a quarter strength and they're due to be on a half dose next week. I'm only having problems with the one at the moment so I'm thinking the soil just doesn't play well with the nutes I'm using? I'll be sticking to the Biobizz soil in future I reckon. Lol. Cheers again for your input, Cap'n. :peace:

:slap:

Edit: Have you used the Biobizz nutes before? How do they stack up to AN in your view?

I have definitely worth the extra money fish mix from bio bizz is a god send to flower production they are a bit lighter in the strength than an but definitely a better product. With bio bizz you need to stick to a feed schedule and really be on your a game. Im ordering nutes next week bio bizz starter pack, somesuper soil mix to layer pots, snow storm for resin and essential oil production, some dolomite lime for a buffer and spag and pearl lite mabe a bit of coco to balance the soil. I dont start nutes for 3 weeks then its on autos are tricky tho.

I'll have to look into Biobizz. My local Hydro store swears by them. I really like trying out new things, so I may see if I can run a Biobizz grow after my next round.

I tried out the BioCanna range for a couple grows and that was a difficult regime to master. Very low yield compared to other regimes I've tried, but the bud quality was lovely - very frosty and sticky.

Do you have a particular Biobizz schedule you like to follow? I've had this one saved for a while, just in case I try them out. I imagine any additives can just be factored in at their recommended dose?

I use a friends feed schedule for bio bizz very different from what you posted theres a few products missing in there and I dont use molasses at all never have.

Cool. I'll do some research and see if I can find a more comprehensive schedule before I commit to anything. Cheers again for your help! :thanks:

@Ripped In Oregon, I wonder if I could 'pick your brain' for a second? I just flushed the lady with the problems. How long after a flush would you commence feeding again?

I've been relying on the pH perfect element of the AN feed but, I think something has caused the pH to tank. I'll pH everything that goes into her from now on, hopefully that will help her out. :toke:

I flush until the water becomes clear of nutrients or non toxic (water starts going back to a cleaner state) and the problem has subsided and I have it under control. Then I would start lightly feeding for the next couple of feedings and see how she reacts and then commence. You are Welcome for the rep you are doing a really good job. My son used AN ph perfect bloom worked great as a stand alone bloom product. It is a a VERY or really it is a MUST rule to follow by checking the ph of every drop of water that goes to your plants. Are you adding anything else besides the ph perfect? Ph is so important it is the base of all growing (I believe) you need the correct type of acidity for a marijuana plant so it will uptake nutrients. If it is out of that 6-6.5 range for soil then you will have problems with lock out. Lockout happens when the plant becomes deficient in 1 or more nutrients and the plant "locks" out everything but the nutrient it wants so the plant suffers from the deficiency of the nutrients it locks out also. It's also the salt build up that you are flushing, basically you are clearing the highway so it runs smooth again. The grow looks awesome. I personally would like to learn more about plant diseases and the cure for them but right now life is hectic and I don't keep up with my own grow journal.

@Ripped In Oregon. Awesome, thanks for the rep slappage :d5:. I hear you on the lock-out! I'm getting a slowly creeping phosphorous problem on the lower fans, nothing really drastic. The new growth and majority of the plant is healthy, but It's been present for a couple of weeks now. I will have to keep my eye on it. I'm a big fan of fastbuds too, quality genetics and nice guys to boot. Was chatting to one of them on Facebook a while back and they were very encouraging and quite humble when I was fanboying out in their inbox . Dinafem are a close second for me. I also have Mephisto in my sights, they're meant to be pretty impressive too.

I'll take some pics and post an update in a bit. :toke:

I am growing Fast Buds Crystal Meth and Pineapple Express right now along with some Brooklyn Sunrise fromDP,White Widow Diesel Haze from White Seeds and a Blue Critical from Dinafem. Mephisto is a great vendor also. The Fast Buds guys are super cool. I wanted to get more Fast Buds but Gorilla seed bank is who I used but they only accept bitcoin or where you can send the money in. I went to Seedsman who don't carry Fast Buds but they have some other great strains.
