Gnome Automatics The 300$ hoop house

did you add that top shot in recently?

excellent! Now, question is, how will this Sati' treat your head, FD? :eyebrows: Have you smoked DP before? And the sourcing is key here, if this one has had any cool climate growing selective forces on it, etc.,..?

I’m curious too, have had a few hybrids here but nothing this pure. Everything in the stores is hybrid and sati leaning. There is no doubt that this Durban is as close to a true sati as can be. I’m hoping for a bottle rocket I want something to spin me out a bit. I’ve only had Durban crosses so this will be a first other than the auto Durban hybrids.
The source has left me. I got these seeds back when I was still on icmag and roll it up. Way before afn was born. So I’m not too sure on selection but the seeds were sourced reliably. I know it was selected for pm resistance but beyond that I have little info.

I’ll be cloning her in the next few weeks to keep a mother around. Something about her speaks to my intuition so I’m gonna go with my gut on this one. She was one of three seeds I had. 2 popped and died, this one made it and was female. She wanted to be grown.

I’ll also be keeping this pheno of cherry chem x gsc. It also has been a beast and I want to keep it in my stable. Maybe a good mom for the Siberian project

Few pics to catch back up. These are within the last week and you’ll see some changes. Still water only supplemented with teas did a 2 round spray of horticultural oil for pm management and a barrier. Re-introduced Encarsia formosa this week to increase the white fly protection and bring back what the oil may have taken out. Saw a few mantids hanging around and introduced 1000 lacewing large. I’ve got another round of andersoni sachets. These will boost the mite control after the spray. Horti oil is a good organic tool but will kill beneficials too.

So far it has been safe on the mantids. Still finding them after the spray and they’re healthy.

I’ve also added saw dust around the cucumbers, tomatillos, squash, and zucchini. Added irrigation and tea tubes for feeding.

Ok irrigation::

1/2 in poly main, 1/4 drip lines. 1 gal per hour self regulated drippers and .5 gal button drippers for the ganja.

Pressure regulated ones allow higher flow for the buttons. The tomatoes are on them as well and they get about the same just at a slightly higher rate. 3-5 in cover of pine/cedar sawdust from pellet form. Only water on drippers every third day for 30 min and supplement 2 times a week with tea. 4-5 gal hits every feed tube for tea.

Temps have been suuuper mild so this could change in a month, we’ll see as it’s been pretty consistant up here

:smoking: I haven't had Durban in years, and even then, who knows if it was legit! It deserves a proper revisit - :eyebrows:.... if only I can find it around,... I looked around for feedback on it's buzz nature, but not much luck. however, I don't recall hearing anything about it being one of those biker-crank speedy-racy, 'noia inducing type buzzes... It might be worth it to lab test her, and see if she's carrying any unusual cannabinoids, and to get a terp' profile,.. I suspect that sort of anxietous buzz might be in part, attributable to certain terp and/or cannabinoid combo's.... I'm talking above and beyond potency enhancing things, (brain-blood barrier facilitators),... I'm thinking THCV, CBG, CBC, rarer terp's, etc. as co-factors.... I'd like to start getting inputs on aromas and effects, to explore potential correlations with this sort of thing as well!...... So, I can't wait for buds and "data" to start coming in on this version!
.... cloning is always wise! I topped Lilly today, and gave it to a homie for cloning... so if this Lilly is choice, we will have that as a back-up!
Yes! --to the possible rudi' cross, hell BOTH of them! Have you started any of those buggers yet?

:woohoo1:shweeet, new pics..... more good stuff on the IPM crew my man! Super cool shot of your home-grown mantis- :d5:
...:greenthumb: daaamn, they are looking so fine FD! DP is a treat for the eyes....:spels:... all are filling so lushly, you'll be doing a lot of nip & tuck to keep them from blocking off that part of the house!

...I feel the burn just looking at those chilis,.... Hab's? :hothot:

I think that’s what I’m excited about the most. I’ll be testing both the rudi and the Durban this season. The lab is a short drive and they test patient meds. So I’m excited for that, I also acquired the Australian bastard cannabis that is known for mildew and mold resistance. The goal is to use the Durban, ABC, and rudi for something new here in the pnw. I’ll send you details in pm :)
I’m hoping for more CBG and thcv. If it holds true CBG should be there somewhere and my money is on the land race rudi.

Terps and effect are where it’s important I think. I believe it’s why we see 18% knockouts and 31% disappointments. But that’s just me.
I’m starting the rudi in the next few weeks. We’ll see where it goes. Her and Bobby’s are next indoor.

The ipm has been fun I’m Learning a lot from them. Watching the process and learning what to intorduce and when. I feel like a kid in science class. Just start struck. That mantis is well fed and quickly growing. I believe some of them are eating each other given the number of hatchlings. That’s the biggest one but there are 3 or 4 more slightly smaller ones running around.
I plan on adding trellis this weekend to spread them out and support them. Wanna SOG that section so more clipping is coming. They’re happy in their feet. The teas are working their magic. I will say we’re not in flower but my yard stinks :pass:

Ahhh the peppers are a cross of scotch bonnets @Mossy sent me and Tabasco. They have a bonet top but not drawings all the way in. Maybe the Tabasco playing games :d5:

... all three are "likely suspects!"..... but S.African strains are known for THCV, some Affy/Paki too,... might have to get this Aunt of Farooq tested as well, a landrace Paki- :eyebrows: .. have you seen them yet at my thread? You'll dig the leaves! Serious consideration for this one is warranted,... I'm still waiting on sex for them, still pretty "stick" built, lats are slow to develop so far,...transplanted the largest today which i was hoping to avoid, but whaddya gonna do?
... good thing you have a solid CBG maker already in Anvil/ALF5 -

:greencheck: ayuh! We have talked about this a lot... nature of the high counts a great deal. I still find strains that are potent, but not interesting,.. others take some extra puffs, but the ride is choice! ....or not,... I mixed C+2.0 hash with Bum Wine [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] bud figuring on a winning combo, and it turned out fucking weird, inexplicably so! A flat, odd feeling buzz, sorta weak like CBD got in there and flattened the ceiling, after that the more you smoke, the less pleasant the buzz... Either by itself is great-... an anti-entourage effect if you will!
... Bobby in dancing in my head mate,.... :wiz:

.... :crying: You bet the mantids are snacking on each other! Absolutely indiscriminate voracious feeders, if it moves and is in range and it's not a building or tree, they will try to snag it! .. are they staying "local" to an area?
Ooo, thanks for reminding me about teas, I have a sample pack of some to try....
No kidding, nice on Aunty's Bonnets... do you make your own hot sauce? there's a very tasty one called Yucatan Sunshine (think I mentioned it before?), mellowed by their recipe so you can slap it on and really enjoy the flavor and not die trying-
