Lighting Quantum board thread.

You can get a USB sensor for about $230, or a meter from $299 at www.bulkreefsupply.com

Sure no problem POP I will take you up on that. Do you want me to pm my address. We can find out finally. I will do a proper test. How much are Quantum meters.

Hey @pop22 this meter you speak of I think you called it a quantum meter? Is this something that a photographer would have in their tool kit/arsenal? If so, @FN if you know any photographers or if there’s a camera shop nearby maybe a few bucks might sway them for a 1 day rental? Lol just a thought!

new addition to one of my lights... gone and added one of the HLG 80w 660mn red strip kit. Installed yesterday and ready for the next grow... Going to do clones with a cut I have grown out twice before (Blasphemy by 42 genetics), once under just HLG QB's and the other under this light with out the additional reds. So I should get a good idea of what the added red will do... I will keep you posted on the developments

Wow I love that pic of the complete setup! Looks sweet as!

Apologies for not being completely across the thread, but what are the globes along the sides/edges?

cheers my man :pass:... the round lights on the side are COB led's (citizen 1212's), a mix of of 3000k and 4000k

Thanks bro! I'm looking at a QB Setup like this, 3500k and 660nm reds..

I'm hoping that will do me start to finish for Autos in a 4x4 tent.

for just a 4x4 just one of those QB's would be really pushing it even at top wack, you could possibly get 2 plants under one board but your not going to see the coverage for the full tent... for a 4x4 you would need a 4xQB's set up for full coverage driven at 2100ma for the full power... that light of mine is designed for a 4x4, at the moment its only lighting a 3x 4 space.

Hahahahaha sorry! Don't mean to hijack. Yeah 4 x 288 boards with a 660nm strip. Oh well, we will see! I had a cheap 1000w blurple LED and it blew up the second I plugged it in, so now it's time to do it properly...

No the light meter used in photography is not a quantum meter, its a LUX meter, which only measures light in the human eye visible range.
