Greetings All.
Have avoided doing a diary for my first few runs. I’m in prohibition land & It was hard enough talking my Mrs into letting me have a home grow in the first place let alone broadcast my goings on all over the internet :D But… here I am just starting grow number 4 & I keep running into the same issues/limitations so, with a little encouragement from a fellow AFN member, I’ve decided to just go ahead with one. Hopefully I’ll learn a few things along the way & step up my game a bit ☺

Set up

Tent: 70 x 70 x 150 (cm) BlackOrchid ‘Hydro-box’.

Light: Invisible Sun ISH 240H (240watt) With ‘R-Strip’ (60watt) - 300watts total but I have the dimmer on the main light dipped down so total draw from the wall is roughly 200watt… It was too hot in my little tent to run at full power.

4inch fan/filter
4inch active air intake

Inkbird humidity controller

2 x 5inch fan. One for the canopy, one above the lights.

Genetics:
I’m running 3 x Oragnge Sherbet & 3 x Wedding Cheese Cake. Both from Fastbuds.

Media:
As a little experiment (and to make life harder for myself), I’m running 2 different soils this time.

The Orange Sherbet will go in my ‘usual blend’ which is 70/30 mix biobizz light/Canna Coco Coir on the top and 70/30 BatSpecial from House & Garden/Canna Coco Coir for the bottom layer. Both the top & bottom layers have had Eco Charge (insect frass with light N-P-K) mixed through.

The 3 Wedding Cheese Cake are in 70/30 Biobizz light/Canna Coco Coir with Eco Charge mixed through. No “top & bottom” layer, Just the same soil mix throughout.

I have 2 x 4gal fabric pots & 4 x 3gal fabric pots. Each strain will be in 1 x 4gal & 2 x 3gal.
That’s 6 plants total.

Nutrients:
Predominately BioBizz inputs:
Grow
Bloom
Top max (while it lasts)
Acti-vera
Alga-mic
Heaven

My root juice is from Plant Magic.
Cal/Mag from TNC

Also, weekly doses of “Real Growers Re-charge”, A Fungal/microbial inoculant.

Soils were pre soaked & left under the lights to warm up for 24hrs before planting. Meanwhile, seeds were left soaking .

Seeds in soil on: 6.6
All seeds up & ready to run: 8.6 (U.K calendar so that’s 2 days not 2 months ;) )

x

This is my rough feed guide. Blue is for the 2 layer batspecial soil & is an amendment of the biobizz schedule. Purple is for the biobizz light mix. @void may recognise it :D

RIGHT. That's week 1 done. Everyone seems fairly happy. Today (day 8) I have given them their 1st water/feed. 250ml per plant following their respective schedules + a little Re-charge.

I'll follow along, I hear great things about the BioBizz line so I am curious, but I am also the furthest I have ever been from a bottled nutrient, so I am hesitant to introduce it into a grow. Everything looks great, very organized. Looking forward to seeing how it goes. Best of luck!

nice neat set up :smoking:looking spot on for day 8 :pass:
not as cramped looking as id first thought, got space for de/humdifier.pots are nice n tall v width, which i think is a good thing  first hand experience :frowny:tells me knock off super roots airpots are short n fat not tall n slim.im guessing the same goes for (i dont know the good brand) of fabric pots.
good luck n keep er lit
:pighug:

@void Yes man, good to have you on board!
I've had a couple of brands of fabric pots & they seem to have been similar dimensions, just sized up or down. The RQS 4gals seem like good quality.

I've run 6 in here before but recently realised that last time the smaller pots were 2gal not 3gal. The tent filled up wall to during late veg last time but there was a comfortable amount of space in flower after I'd defoliated.

Midweek musings..
Day 11. Midweek update.
20200616_133259.jpg

Fairly happy with everyone's progress.

Day 8 & 11 they had 250ml feed each.
The pots still feel heavy from the pre soak so I might leave it an extra day or 2 before feeding again.

Humidity for week 1 was 70-75%. Week 2 I have dropped it slightly to 65-75%.

Temps have been much better so far this run. I'm running 18/6 with the lights at 200w (65% ish of total available). Lights off during hottest part of the day. Lights on 25°-28° spiking at 29°. Lights out 23°-25° low spike of 20°. This could all change with the return of hot weather though :D

Of the orange Sherbet, os1 looks to be of a different, more sativa pheno. whereas os2 & os3 are more indica leaning at the moment.
