50cm was to close unlike my last light.70cm ish seems a good starting point for 2 weeks on a lil shelf

That's a very good idea! Unfortunately I'm in a tent so I can't attach it to anything stronger. Bud Box did very kindly send me some extra supports (for free) though so at least they're attached to two of them. I was getting nervous it might snap.

I think I will do as you say and just raise it up to the top. I was thinking of using breeze blocks and some MDF to make two adjustable platforms which would give more floor space for the plants and the heaters or whatever else can run underneath which would be great in the winter.

I'd be disappointed if you used anything other than a kettle box!

DAY 31

Zkittles perked up a bit after her tie downs and looks like she's ready for take off now.

She likes her food but definitely prefers little and often. If I water anywhere near to run off she goes limp and looks like she's about to bite it.

Took a couple more fans off her this morning too.

The tent is surprisingly smelly already.

I still think she'll be on the small side but most seem to be.

Looks like we might finally have a Seedstockers Super Skunk to join the party too. The Zamnesia Critical Cheese is looking very ropey and only had one of five germ so I might be tapping out of that and replacing her with something else. Not giving up on her quite yet though.

DAY 33

They seemed to enjoy the light a little closer and the feeds a little lower. Running nutes at half strength now and feeding around 2L each per day.

Quite noticeable daily growth now too, especially on the Zkittles who seems to be outshining her room mate now.

It'll be interesting to grow the NYCD again. She looks like she's more on the afghan side to me although I'm sure at this point those genetics are pretty stable it would be cool to see if there's any difference. Touch of N tox on her too, she's a really light feeder so I'd do things a little differently next time.

They seem to have really kicked into gear over the past few days. Hopefully they continue in that fashion...

they look awesome mate for sure, ahead of my girls at that age. Zkittles clearly showing some dominance here but both showing lovely structures.

it’s tough dialling in the LED lights and I’m finding differences in tolerance just between strains now - like my Samsquanch, coming in to full flowering mode so I raised her to 60-70cm from her main cob, within 36 hours I had some signs she didn’t much like it, so there’s a good 85 cm from her tops to her cob now
I’ll wait until she’s really budding before trying again.

Well if I pull a couple off each of these, I'll be a happy camper but we'll see they go. I'll definitely make some changes moving forward but I'm beginning to get the hang of it, I think.

Yeah, moving cobs around for each plant is definitely an advantage that only really they can offer. I'll need to work out some sort of movable platforms I think, especially as I'll be running different strains at different stages pretty much constantly. It should make things easier in the long run although watering might be problematic. My DIY skills are pretty limited as well, I'll probs lose a limb in the process, but as long as the plants are OK right?

They've exploded in the past few days.

NYCD still looking better for the lower feed although showing some cal def now. Could probably do with some defol now as well. Tucking's not quite cutting it and she's due a bit of bondage.

Zkittles has turned into a greedy little monster almost overnight and I've underfed her a little by the look of it. I'll adjust accordingly but otherwise she's shaping up well.

Looking great....you look to be about 6 days ahead of me. It will be interesting to compare our Zkittlez. I have 4 of them going and 2 Gorilla Glue. Best of luck with your grow they look great!
