Im so proud of my parents for going with the Rav4 Prime plug in hybrid. Its such a nice car and so convenient!! Paired with home solar its awesome!
That may be our next vehicle. A friend owns one, and accomplishes virtually all her local driving on electric only, but can also do longer trips without being forced to recharge on the road. The main debate for us will be whether to go full electric. In a small full electric car like the Rav4, even long trips are now reasonably doable. Ranges of full electic cars continue to improve, and charging stations are becoming more common. They are now installed in lots of highway rest stops, even on more remote highways in BC. :pighug:

Beware hybrid trucks if you are towing long distance - the hybrid advantage quickly disappears. You just end up with a heavier truck towing on gasoline, not electric (the battery is dead weight after discharged). The hybrid pickups, IMO, are more about performance than fuel efficiency. I considered the Ford hybrid F150, but it would be a mistake for towing our travel trailer. The battery capacity is simply too small to handle the energy requirements of towing for any distance.

For local contractor stuff where overnight charging will do a complete charge, the full electric F150 is a game changer, but again, not so good for long multi day towing trips. Battery tech has a way to go yet to replace long distance towing performance in a half ton pickup. :pighug:

Oh trust me I am very leery just sick of buying gas :toke::pass:

You could if you wanted to.

ac infinity filters are reversible and refillable. start buying those.. a refill pack from them is like 25 bucks... just need a back massager or something to pack the fresh charcoal :cool1:
I just came in from working in the garden for a few hours getting things ready for snow this weekend. I kept smelling weed and peeked through the fence to see if my neighbor was burning one. Nope, it was my un-filtered exhaust from the grow room, which exhausts through my roof, next door to the community garden. Oh, well, NY is legal.
