What type are they? You've piqued my interest.
Ultrasonic, with a cool mist option would be ideal. They put out a fog, versus a mist…..which is the main thing. The mist droplets are too big, and the potential is there for issues. The fog incorporates into the air much better.
personally…. I don’t run a humidifier. I’ve grown in the humid northeast, and the dry southwest. Currently my RH outside is about 17%. My thought is, do my best to make my environment as perfect as is in my control….and don’t worry about the Rh so much. You can get into a situation where chasing problems can cause more problems down the road. The plants are resilient…..look at the multitude of environments it grows in outdoors. They adapt. To be honest…. I’ve only really seen major issues from too high RH.

:yeahthat: been tryin to tell peepz this for......well, forever :face: :crying: :nonono: ppp

You can see where the humidity dropped off big time and the temps started getting rather high. And they were getting that high even with the inline going full blast with fans in the tent and a painters fan blowing cool air into the tent, like it had been this whole time.

How long are those peak temperatures lasting for? Just a couple hours in the afternoon?
those Rh numbers look fine, to tell you the truth. 44 for a minimum isn’t bad at all….that’s about what my tent is at right now.

Although a max rh of 81 will cause problems
Yeah, the girls slowed down drinking at the end and I did not adjust my watering like I should. 40% seems really low for seedlings though, my root riots were drying out stupid fast while in the seedling trays.

Well shoot! I've seen those on the shelf. I was hoping for some real secret top shelf scientific supply thingy. Glad to see it's just the best of the regular units. I've got an evaporative unit so it can't push more moisture into the air than it can hold but I am shopping for new bits for the new tent. Looks like I'll be getting a cool mist ultra. Thanks for the heads up!
