I have no idea! I've never used one. I barely started smoking in 2020, pandemic hobby, and I've only had a pax3 vaporizer since.

Something like this is pretty standard. 10-12 inches. I'm sure most of us have had one similar. I like the ice catcher feature and you may want an ash catcher to keep it clean

I'd look locally for a "head shop" or "smoke shop" I like to hold the glass I'm buying. Look for thick glass and I prefer glass on glass seals most are nowadays but you still can find stems that seal with o-rings glass on glass seals way better

Size is all preference I like them big enough water doesn't splash up into your mouth

If you get something with a percolator in the stem or bong a ash catcher is worth every penny any bong with smaller holes that the water passes through can plug easily

"unbreakable" models can be nice. Check out Whomp and/or Tank. Expensive, but nice!
