Yeah... was National Grid that pulled that crap on me too... one month my electric bill went from $200 every 2 months to $700 in one... and by the time i had the money they shut me off... so I said FUCK YOU... I din't need your power..

I just shut my dehumidifier, side lights , and turned all ac units on eco...I don't see a difference being it's so fucking hot 110°f today....

I literally didn't pay the bill and lived without for the most part... neighbor was kind enough to throw m an extension cord deal and I managed on that for prob 5 years... lol

We have 4 ac window units drawing power....I had way more lights and 2 ac at the other apartment and it was only 200$ in summer....

One of my refugees rented a hair salon, and had crazy utility bills, so she shut off the gas to same money. Then the insurance company next door had no heat. I checked the basement and found 3 meters for 4 units. The owner had divided a large unit into two, without adding more meters. So the salon was getting charged for her own electricity and gas and for the busy insurance company next door. The owner responded by locking the basement. Then COVID shut down everybody anyway.
