I had some generic ones off amazon, they would start screeching after maybe 2 months, it would drive me friggin nuts. They still worked, but that sound, OMG.Just checked….

These are designed to be “dust proof” internally so they are sealed! Pretty sure fan blades and shaft are mounted flush with the body so would take a lot of disassembly!

I had a monkey fan start cstching fire on me! Power cord was shooting sparks and smoke out the back! Luckily i was home and tents in my bedroom so i smelled the melting plastic and caught it in time!

Vivosun old fan was taken off the market after one almost burned down an IG homeys crib! Entire tent burned down and the ceiling in between first and second floor was smoldering when he came in and caught it! Vivosun at first tried getting lawyers involved in trying to skirt liability so he went on a vengeful social media tirade and they paid for everything eventually! About same time them fans went totally off the market!
Its sealed enough cuz i sure don’t see any dust inside that mofo!Not much you can do with out some real invasive tear down which it would have to be broke for me to do i just opened the back cover this is about as far as i could open. It not really seal it’s open at the bottom where it swivels
