Me and the 2 cats, with the room closed up there isn't any fresh air getting in, I have a window AC unit so no air exchange like central air.Where do you suppose it is coming from? Ambient is less than half that.
My first run with organics has been the easiest grow of my life. Didn't have to mix anything myself or buy a bunch of crap. Just using Nature's Living Soil and Sohum living soil. Trying two different companies mixes out. So far it's been a cake walk. Just gotta buy potting soil cuz living soil is hot and will burn your plants. You make a mix with the potting soil and living soil. It's so easy. If you buy all the stuff and mix it yourself that's a lot harder to learn. I'm not there yet. Some day I wanna try build a soils company and build my own soil learning from Jeremy. He has a great YouTube channel to teach us how to do it. He teaches all kinds of stuff about organics. Great guy and company and can't wait to try them some day. They're very reputable.Promix and megacrop salts, the cheapest way i can grow without issues sadly, 1 day ill master organics
The key is not using 2000ppm worth of food for the plants, and the plant wont have salt issues during its lifetime, it took me 1 whole grow and 4-5 weeks into another grow when i seen salt issues, chop stump and plant a seed method.I haven't tried that exact combination, but I did well with PromixHP and one of the 3 part liquid nutes. You definitely need to keep the nute levels under control, salt buildup late in the grow is a pain, and is the reason I have given up on autovalves and salts. If you are not going to put anything between the pots to limit the water quantity needing to be absorbed during each flood cycle, I suggest a straight perlite layer an inch or so deep in the bottom of your pots to increase aeration in the flood zone. With all the extra water, the flood zone will stay flooded for longer, especially early on when plants are smaller, and that could lead to root issues due to oxygen starvation. OTOH, straight perlite might not wick enough, so you may need to include a small portion of Promix to help with that.
Good luck with it.
Just be careful. Over 1000 you really should increase airflow for an inhabited enclosed space. Between 600 and 1000 there's been studies proving a decrease in cognitive ability.Me and the 2 cats, with the room closed up there isn't any fresh air getting in, I have a window AC unit so no air exchange like central air.
Sounds about right. It is surprising how little it takes to raise CO2 in a partially enclosed space. I recall someone hereMe and the 2 cats, with the room closed up there isn't any fresh air getting in, I have a window AC unit so no air exchange like central air.
I loved the BAS take and bake kit when I was getting started in living soil. I love how simple it is growing this way.My first run with organics has been the easiest grow of my life.
