I’m not a trucker but something tells me this doesn’t exactly look correct!

I would use it on expensive ph pens but my turds, no i use them to much to wash them off and apply some special sauce to it, but i use the $7 pens, i buy 2 so i know when 1 is off.Thats what my package said. I had some on hand when i got mine. I agree. I believe you are right good sir![]()
me too. Now on my second, but that was after two years with the first. The first still works fine, it is just slowing down a lot, so now I have a replacement as soon as needed when the old one finishes up. I might get one more grow out of it.![]()
I store mine in KCL that I mix up myself. Cheap, and it has kept my current Apera happy for more than two years. The storage solution sold by the probe companies is a massive rip off for the amount they give you.
Forgot to add @Dale's Proper Bud, heat the water before mixing and the stuff will dissolve easier. 3M is fairly concentrated, and it is hard to get all dissolved. Also, a bit tends to come out of solution where the edjes evaporate. I ignore and decant clear stuff into the storage cap. So far, it seems to be perfect as far as I can tell. The probe that I may replace soon might actually respond to cleaning, but I haven't tried that yet.I buy pure KCL online, and add ~17g/ 100ml, which gives about a 3M solution which is what Apera uses according to their website. The homemade stuff has no preservative in it, so it eventually seems to grow stuff. Since it is so cheap to make, I just change it regularly. It stays cleaner longer if you rinse the probe with RO before replacing in the storage cap.
The biggie with these pens is never let them dry out. If they are not taking readings, they need to be stored in solution. Some tolerate this abuse more than others, but drying them out harms them all sooner or later, and the cheaper the pen the quicker they fail.
Probe replacement only, not a lot more expensive than a cheap pen. No brainer for me, one of the reasons I chose the Apera I did. Reasonable initial price, excellent price on a replacement probe. I will not be buying anything else as long as pH60 probes are available.Thank you i did not know that but i am still on first bottle with plenty to go :smoking:...Did you ever source a new probe or did you buy a whole new Ph pen?
Pretty much the same as the milwaukee ph pen, replaceable probes. Maybe 1 day i'll get 1 but for now the cheapies still work.Probe replacement only, not a lot more expensive than a cheap pen.
