Ive topped before when I was growing for fun. I was successful keeping it nice and filled out without any problems really...but then again I didnt harvest anything back then....i wish I still had my old pics. They on my exs desktop and she gave that to her dad and he wiped the hard drive... i was basically growing a hedge at one point like 2ft tall and 3ft wide when i chopped it down. That was a grow I was gonna try to harvest but my home made stealth box had a critical failure....the lights fell on all 6 plants only that one survived....it was a male bushier than hell tho

Best thing you can do while it is fresh and still a baby is leave it alone, don't even water near it, water around it.

I get my fabric pots filled with dry promix and soak them until they drip drip, next day or so i plant the seed directly in the soil and that is enough to get it 5-7 days without me watering it if you used a 5 gallon or bigger pot.

You can use LST clips and do the same thing, i have topped a few plants and i don't think it applies to many of our grows as i think it should be used for monsters that won't stop growing, not preplanning a monster that won't get bigger than 2 feet.

damn lights falling is a fear of mine! i use 4 ratchets on each corner of the light just in case
