Being A Roof Rat what I loved the best was head of line privileges in the chow halls, fun times cutting lines!

But damn who was the moron who thought aircraft final checkers should wear white jerseys and vests? Constantly being sprayed with hydraulic fluid, grease, and jp5, I never had truly white jerseys! LOL

Well, being on one of the smaller craft all we had were 2 LAMPS and I was #1/#2 so there we sat all during flight ops in our space suits.....but being in charge of the CHT was a perk, lowest level on the ship, we spliced a shower head in the potable water line over the bilge...always had a shower even after 5 days of water hours....

If it wasn't already there, I'd always set up a shower system in the pit. If I'm gonna make the water, I'm god-damned sure as hell gonna use it!
The amfib I was on was the worst! When the damned grunts were on, they'd use up the damn water taking 'Hollywood' showers. I'm damn sure not gonna stand a 4-12hr watch in the hell hole pit and not get a damn shower! Not gonna happen!
