Alcohol depletes magnesium........ :headbang: .....I don't know if you can drink on keto or not........


I Prefer Magnesium Sprays...or baths to the tablet form....just seems to Work better for me.

Have you tried coconut watter for the electrolytes..........?....it has virtually all you need for electrolytes in a glass........and it tastes Nice too....:headbang:


Apart from that...how you managing on the keto......?...I've been Thinking about it for me..........

I've been on it for about three years now. My A1C is now well inside the normal range, and my weight stable at about ten pounds down from prior to the diet. If losing weight is an objective, keto is by far the easiest way to do it, in my opinion. I didn't need the weight loss, the diet is just to control diabetes in my case. The diet is neither convenient nor cheap, but it works - if you can stick to it. It is a bit unforgiving in that approximate ain't good enough - you either get into nutritional ketosis and stay there, or you don't. Part way does not work. I spent about a year intensively monitoring food intake, blood ketones, and blood glucose while trying to figure things out.

As to magnesium, I seem to need ~300mg per day, any less than that and the mischief begins. I use magnesium citrate, the oxide stuff is not as absorbable. My alcohol intake is small, maybe a couple drinks of beer or wine a week at most.
