I'll see if the bastard got back in the box in a little bit. Hopefully not! I haven't had too bad animal before I moved, and That was a very rural setting. I guess the biggest reasons were from having so many barn cats and always having at least one dog. Raccoons, coyotes and whitetails were the worst, as they just didn't care about my animals.i see them and possums running around dallas looking for food at nights while working, sometimes i even see turkeys jump in and down from trees too
Sorry it got into your earthbox
Raccoons eat whatever they find or want.
Deer............DUH!
But coyotes, you ask, how did they harm your garden? Ever hear of Coyotes eating watermelons? I never had.................until they hit me! They were quiet about it, since there was no prey. By looking at the tracks, It looks like this pack has learned how to hit the melon and make it split open. How in the hell did they learn that??? I can do it to a ripe melon, but it took me a while to learn how to do it.
Anyway, I don't have any deterrent here at my new place. None of the cats that have made their way here have a frigging clue!!!! No frigging way any of them were feral and living on their wits and hunting ability for any period of time.
I'm pretty sure this incident was because of my topdressing the previous evening at dusk. It was all that fermented goodies that were in my slurry, with molasses being one of the dominate smells.
It just tore up the elastic shower cap covering and tossed out a little media. It only got lightly into the very fine feeder roots. I haven't noticed any adverse reactions.
