I am sorry but all of you making edibles with decarbed flowers are missing the flavor profile of good oil extracted cannabis. Get a Magic Butter machine and extract fresh cured buds with light olive oil on low heat for 4 or more hours for making salad dressings. Decarb the strained oil in an oil bath in a closed jar at 252°F for 27 minutes. Use butter or coconut oil for cooking and baking. Decarb in the hot oil bath after extraction. You will not believe how much beautiful cannabis flavor you have been missing.
Never use water that has been through a softener to grow anything with unless you run it through an RO system. It is full of Sodium and will kill or stunt your plants. It is actually a great idea to run a water softener in front of your RO system if your starting water is over 300 PPM. The water softener exchanges the calcium ions for sodium and the sodium is easy for the RO membrane to filter it out. This will make the RO membranes last much longer.
My municipal water must be tested each time I use it. We have two sources for water; surface and well. If it comes from the surface source it is ~80 PPM. If it is coming from the wells it will be over 200 PPM and I use the RO system to blend it down to around the 80 PPM mark.
I try to quote PPMs of nutrients only because everyone's starting water is different.
