It can be done, most will tell you to veg for 3 wk min then flip to 12/12. Quickest turnover without sacrificing too much.

It is like growing autos, the plants reach sexual maturity at around 3 weeks.
If you want give more light hours in veg first 3 weeks you can get more veg growth and then flip to 12/12 @ week 3.

This a Dutch Passion strain, I forget the name.
This is from about 15 years a go!
It was an outdoor photo, I grew indoors, I did 12/12 from seed to keep the size down.
I checked the Dutch Passion website but they no longer sell it and the forum I was on at the time is now no longer operational, so I couldn't get the name there either!
I left that forum to come to AFN seems it was the wise choice!

They won't flower until they're mature enough no matter the light schedule. Takes a couple weeks. Thing with photos is the light is off for so long, there's not as much time for messing with them

They don't really take that much longer then autos. Depending on the flowering time. It just feels like it. I regularly have 90+ day autos. 4 week veg and 10 weeks of flower for a photo is 98 days

Hes took longer he vegged for like 6 to 8 weeks. But I get that you can get them done almost as fast. I especially if you run clones I hear. Can be as fast as auto. So Im told.

Grow photos 12/12 from seed gives you fast photo grows!

I tried that and they wouldn’t kick to bloom! Had to drop to 11/13 after almost 3 weeks and then had pistols within a week!
