That color wasn’t black, by chance? Just a hunch…

sometimes it was, partly, but mostly controlled shades of grey when I was in my Ansell Adams mood. When I wasn't in color mood. Color was a hell of a lot more work. Temperatures of chemicals had to be controlled. And the chemicals were nastier.
