Outdoor Hillbilly Rig-A New Adventure

It's crazy how sometimes one plant will attract a bug that none of the others are impacted by. Last summer I had 8 strains outside, and only the Gorilla Cookies had a fair amount of very tiny bugs, they didn't touch the others just inches away. The little buggers got smoked... probably should have washed that one.
That’s crazy! They must have a sweet tooth!!:crying:i

:yoinks: lookz like aphidz, lil fuckin bastardz! :cuss: had to deal with thoze fuckerz a couple yearz ago & was more or less able to keep em in check, BUT, the end quality of the bud suffered immensely as a rezult, becuz aphidz suck the life force from a plant, literally, so...:wall: ppp
Fuckers! What do you think is best to battle them with?

Final moments before harvest at sunrise. Going to be a scorcher again.

Though to scope this plant, it’s so dark, checking to see if it is ambering up nice. From the few good glimpses I could get, I believe it is ready. Especially since I’m tired of the aphid battle of late…

After cutting I dunked in water and gently jiggled it around for a few minutes. Then hit it with the hose. Repeated the process 3x. Trying to get the dirt and little effin’ bugs off. First dunk was gross but by the 3rd The water was clean. Hung right side up in the crawl space. 72 degrees with humidity at 87% :yoinks:
Have a fan blowing directly on it for a bit since it is thoroughly soaked from its bath. Will move it to the utility closet soon since the humidity is a bit lower there, but it is also warmer in the closet so that’s suboptimal. I would leave it in the high humidity for a long slow dry but I’m afraid I would run in to trouble with the humidity ranging between 85-90%. Am I wrong?

Finished drying and trimmed today.
Not what I had hoped for but with the heat and aphid infestation, the buds weren’t very dense. On the other hand, the color is amazing. The pictures don’t capture how dark it is, to the eye, it’s almost black :cool1:

Day 11-Pulled Purple Kong out of the closet to get some early sun at 6:45. Look at the humidity dripping from it after 20 minutes. Was completely dry and praying before going out.

Letting it do it’s thing. A half water bottle with mycos at day 7 and 2/3 water bottle with silica last night. Prior to that, just sprayed with plain water several times a day.
