Outdoor High Altitude/Desert Outdoor Organic Grow – Five Indica, One Sativa

Day 6 - I have 10 seedlings out of 12 seeds planted 6 days ago. To be quite honest, that is better than I anticipated. The Blackberry Kush is already starting to develop the next set of leaves. I am hoping to get them in the ground May 20.

Objective Of This Grow: To find out how autoflowers perform in a sunny, dry, windy, environment with hot days and cold nights. This will be a baseline grow with little to no nutrient embellishments. Some plants will be trained, some not.

Good luck on the Blackberry Kush outdoors. I'm so wanting to get some more of those beans as the smell and high are amazing, but I was afraid to try them outdoors because I heard they were picky about their environment, (last spring I ran them indoors). But if you can grow them outdoors, I will reconsider and try some outside next year! :peace:

I am located in the USA,and I can go to a big box store and get everything there for inside gardens in there sprinkler department, with the exception of the pump and a reservoir. Lots of info online.

Peace

I had such a hard time picking out of all the choices of seeds out there. I was amazed at what breeders have been doing over the years. I was excited to find this strain of cannabis. It is perfect for hobby growers like me.
Yes, it is indeed a great time to be a grower/ breeder.

Peace

Thanks! I hope they make it, even if the plant turns into one massive bud. I really don't care, I am just happy to be growing without fear of loosing my house and getting thrown in jail.

Day 7 -The weather is perfect right now, 70/21, sunny, with a light breeze - the perfect day to start hardening the plants for an hour or so. I can't mollycoddle these girls; they need to be tough.

This looks like a fun grow to follow :)

What's the average temperature difference between your daily high and evening low? (curious!)

Extreme - for instance, yesterday started out at 32/0 in the early am, 50/10 at 10 am and got up to 70/21 by 3:00 in the afternoon and down to 50/10 after the sun dropped behind the mountains around 7:00 pm.

When a high-pressure system settles in, the lows are in the 50's/10 and the highs 90's/32 with a few days getting into the 100's/38.

I don't have mold issues, I got cold issues. This is going to be quite the learning experience.

I'm so interested to follow along! Hopefully those Dutch genetics shine for you! :)
I'm up in the PNW so we've had a few days lately where its been 35/2 in the morning and then in the 60s/20 in the afternoon but those days should be fewer and fewer as we HOPEFULLY head into summer here.

Thanks! It is those early morning lows that are the killer. I am hoping that a big high-pressure system moves over the entire North American continental west coast for the next four months giving us perfect growing weather!

Day 9 - Pots in a big pot. I put the seedlings back outside for the afternoon. Sunny and 70's/21 for the next week or so. My plan is to keep the plants on an outdoor during the day, inside at night schedule until the early morning temperatures warm up a bit more. They are responding well to being outside, much better than being under the grow light.

Day 24 (For the first batch of seeds started.)

On May 27, Royal Kush, Northern LightsxBig Bud [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG], Blackberry Kush [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] & [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] and Blueberry [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] were all planted outside in pots.

On May 18, I started the second set of seeds. On June 6, I planted Daiquiri Lime [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] & [HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG], Blueberry [HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG], NL x BB [HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG], and Night Queen [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] in the raised garden beds.

On May 27, I started the third set of seeds, Blackberry Kush [HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG] and Blueberry [HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG] & [HASHTAG]#5[/HASHTAG]. They will go into the raised beds next week sometime.

I had to get creative with the winds and cold mornings. I got some Ag screen from Amazon to help block the winds and keep the bugs off. It is helping tremendously.
