Lighting Full spectrum cob build.

Cool thread. Good concept on the light. I do agree the chips are a bit "cheap" and by that I mean old tech. Even newer chips are "cheap" citizen by 1818's are like 18 bucks per chip. It's a good light and as long as it works and fits in your budget so be it. Looks good bro. When are you doing the 9 chip light?

Well since im a disrespectful cheap ass, im currently waiting on emails being returned from a few different suppliers to try and get the costs down. But i reckon ilI' have the parts ordered this week, couple of weeks for delivery and an hour or so to build it! Thats measuring and cutting the frame, drilling and tapping the heatsinks and wiring it all up! The four cob light only took 20mins to build so an hour for the 9 light setup is being conservative.
You'll be first to know when ive got it ready and have the pictures posted bro ✌

Alright people!
Thought id post a wee update on how the lights going!
Everything was fine in the cupboard it was being used in but when i moved it into the tent i wasnt happy with the spread of light.
So i removed the frame and added extra lengths of wires to each cob so that they could be hung individually and its made the spread much better.
Heres a few pics of them in action ✌

UPDATE!!!
They work!
After a few f@[HASHTAG]#k[/HASHTAG] ups along the way, we averaged 1.5gpw from the cobs!
They need a second run though to truly see what they can achieve but i reckon on a good run 2 gpw is well doable!

Heres a few random pics ✌✌
