Ok I got my calibration solution today! My ph meter was off by about .2 or so. So I adjusted the meter and ph'd the solution again. My ppm meter takes forever to get the number to stop jumping around. I can hold it there for about 5 mins then just say fuck it cuz my arm starts hurting... It's one of those blue cheap ones from amazon. Anyways seems as ppm are going up n down daily, especially when I have to keep adding ph down everyday. I shut off my mh light so I can let it cool down and then be able to switch to the hps. I'll put the hps bulb in about 30 mins from now. The widow leaves just look terrible. Crispy and brittle. Just shitty. The sweet cheese however looks much better. Not sure why that is. Any advice to fix these issues? I'll post some pics and wait for the next rez change advice.

Yep, I learned my lesson about those cheap Chinese crap meters! Watch out for Milwaukee also, they are just those same cheap junk sold for a higher price! I gt a HM ppm meter. I wanted their PH meter but the budget made me settle for a Hanna. I got their "science" model though based on good reviews. Its already proven to be better that that yellow turd!

Well its been a few days since anyone has posted here. I'm still waiting on advice for the next rez change. Today is day 7 of the current rez. I'll add some pics of the girls and their roots. Any advice is appreciated. How do they look?

Dude, with GH Flora series I find it easier to do all the additives, pH it, THEN add the nutes. It seems the buffering in the GH nutes keeps it locked unless you push it hard to change. But as the nutes are used and th buffering fades, you'll pay for that over compensation big time. Like 5.9 down to 4.3 and such.

Here's my usual run:
pH the water near the target. Put in all the additives. Final pH adjustment (not usually necessary). Add the nutes. Recheck pH (usually remains fairly steady). I use RO water and 3 drops of down per gallon; actually 2 drops and after putting the remaining down back in the bottle, rinse the pipette back in the jug to get around 5.7. I might bump it a touch to 5.9. You'll notice it takes more material to go up than down.

hi Jp .

into 15 liters ...

cal magic - 10ml
rapidstart - 1/4 strength (half of what was added last week )
hygrozym - half to full bottle recommendation
GH line - GROW RATIO - up to 600 PPM

PH-5.8

Pics show improvement on one girl & some new green on the other ,but the PH out so far wont have helped bud .now thats good things will hopefully pick up ...give them a week ...check PPM regularly & keep us posted :Sharing One:

Ok it's been 12 hours since the rez change. I used the transition formula of g.h. The widow was 550 ppm and the sweet cheese was 600 ppm. Both ph'd to 5.6. Today the ppm for each was LOWER! The sweet cheese ate a lot and the widow only ate a little bit. Pics to come tonight.

As far as your ph fluctuating did you rinse you hydroton and soak it in ph'd water before use. If not it can throw you ph off a bit. Sending some green Karma your way bud

Yeah I soaked and rinsed them off until clean. I think my meter was messed up but it's fixed now. Now I'm having g an issue with smell... it seems my filter isn't clearing the smell too good. Maybe I can put some dryer sheets on the end of the flexline?? I'm not too sure what to do here lol.

I watched a video on youtube a while back of a guy who got a carbon filter from walmart that is for a humidifier made by Sunbeam. He cut it to fit inside his 6'' duct and claimed that it worked well.
