Day 39- not much to allow, but im gonna babble regardless. White widow is still kickin. Her little budlets are getting bigger and i think shes getting close to a full on stank! Got a big whiff today and it surprised me. Which led me to another realization....i have never seen, held, smelled, fresh homegrown weed. Hopefully thats about to change here in a month or so!!!
Anywho, some grow deets for the day. Temps and rh are holding steady. She was looking and feeling a little dry so gave her 1 liter of plain h2o, tomorrow is my "scheduled" feed day so ill adjust her water if necessary.
I did go ahead and do another round of neem oil, but did not add any more di earth yet. Havent seen any new damage since last week, im going to continue to do pest prevention once a week through the rest of the grow.
Now for some thoughts towards the next round of grows....
Ive picked my strains, going to do grapey walter from mephisto genetics and blueberry from gyo seedbank. I think i may try out 3 gallon airpots instead of the fabric next time. The medium is what im stuck on.
I really like the idea of organic. Like really, really, really like the thought of it. This grow with white widow is all organic, fwiw. I am using kind soil, so in theory it should be doing all the nutrient work for me which has been awesome as my feed schedule is pretty easy to remember, "plain water whenever i water".
I dont even test ph when i water her now, the range for ph has been 6.2-7.0 for the past month, good enough for me.
I do check ph on the other plant i have as its in straight coco loco and ive started using megacrop, but unless widow gives me any reason to shes gonna be as idiot proof and simple as i can make it!
So im leaning towards doing an organic soil grow next cycle. Im going to use a few products from roots organic for nutes/additives.
The plan of attack will be to start charging the airpot with roots organic oregonism xl(bennies i think) and ive got a grow and a bloom additive for veg and flowering respectively. Ill also start the next grow using the neem and di-earth to keep the bad crawlies away!
Another thing im thinking about is trying to set up a more perpetual style grow. I dont care about growing a pound of weed, i think it would be better to have a constantly full jar of meds. At some point ill start staggering the plants to try and get in to that sort of rotation.
Damn afn, looks like i wrote another book! Im elevated af and playing hooky from work, gonna go stare longingly at my 2 girls in their closet!
