So daddy has a few too many seeds, with more on the way. Im going to drop a couple in solo cups, see if i cant do the whole cycle in the solo cups.
Ive read through a few of the solo cup grows here in afn and a few other sites and it looks neat.
I anticipate a whole new slew of issues to deal with but i got the fever, the seeds, and the space.
1st seed will be a blueberry from gyo seedbank, and the 2nd will be a northern lights from seedsman.
I had grabbed these seeds before i stumbled across afn and got a chance to read some good reviews of domestic seedbanks and breeders.
When i get my new light sorted out ill be setting it and the autopot up for a grapey walter grow but in the meantime ill try some microgrowin!

Day 61- widows doing her thing, so sticky and glittery. Another sexy thing ive noticed are some swollen calyxes under the buds.
So i took all the "stakes" out, widow had pulled most of em up a bit anyways. Im curious to see how far she can reach up npw instead of outwards.
Anywho, random pic of the base of widows stalk. A teensy weensy lil budlet growing, and its frosty too!

Day 62- blah blah widow blah, blah blah blah!
We are def in that awkward end game phase, come on lil widow ripen them buds!
I havent had a chance to edit the pics yet but heres a lil teaser shot from a widow shoot earlier.
Shes lovely, all things considered.
Trichs are 70/30 clear/cloudy. In a perfect world i think i would let her go all the way to the end, as much amber as i could get. Alas, we do not live in a perfect world.
Daddy just dropped 50 bucks on an 8th and it made my b-hole pucker and my soul died a lil. Widow bish is gonna get cut here soon! Still thinking im gonna do it at the end of the month.
Gonna trim the big fans, cut her stalk and hang her whole down in the basement. I think, with my average temps and rh the dry will be quick, like 4-5 days. Id love it to take longer, be slower, but i think itll be faster than id like.
After shes dry gonna put her in her jar, got a mason lined up waiting for her, and ive got a canna vault on the way as well.
Shes gonna get at least 1 full week of burping/curing, then we will see if i can wait any longer before i do dirty things to my very own homegrown organic funkweed.

Im gonna put up an edited version here in a bit, its pretty!
And thats the standard sony 30mm macro lens im using now. I had a bad@$$ 50mm macro, that muthatrucker was sharp, i think it was a legacy minolta lens. It got lost in a move so ive been rocking the 30.
In a former life i was a pretty serious amateur photog guy. Most fun i had was a 3 year stint doing local shows.
Id go in take pics, edit em and upload there at the shows, kinda a live, real time street team. Was hella fun, if it had paid more of the bills i would have never stopped.

Time to ramble- so today is 3rd day with the autopot. My initial opinion hasnt changed, this thing is the tits if youre looking to automate watering.
I kinda feel like it could be a fantastic bridge from soil growing to dwc. Down with that, yessiree bob!
Ive already checked ph twice today. 1st time around 8am ph was 6.56, 2nd time just now at 430pm and ph was 6.6.
I have read that ph can be more stable with larger amounts of water and i think my initial experience seems to confirm it.
I think sunday will be the day i check water levels in the rez, so ill probably get water and megacrop ready on saturday to refill, then add whatever i need. Im thinking 8 gallons is my fill-to level, no real reason, i just like the number 8.
Imma toss this out there ...if youre curious about autopots or hydro in general, and have the scratch get yourself one of these bad boys!
If i could get away with it here in ky, i would definitely put one of these things out in my backyard. No power needed for the autopot, sunlights free. Thatd be effin rad!

I just got a 4 pot 3.9 gallon Autopot system and I think this is gonna be the way to go.! I'm looking forward to getting this system up and running as soon as I'm done with this Auto New York City I've got going on... I use Mega Crop myself so how much is recommended in the Reservoir from start to finish.?

Nice on the 4 pot system! so I'm using the green leaf feed calculator to get an idea of how much to use depending on the plants growth stage, and i only do 50% strengths.
as an example, I'm in flower, i started my gal with 8 gallons of h20 in the res. green leaf recommends about 40 grams of mc during the early bloom period. i only added 15-20 grams though, as i want to run really light on nutes, my plant has been super sensitive to nutrients the whole grow so I'm going stupid light.
i just added green leaf bud explosion to the res as well, did 50% of the recommended dosage on that one as well.
i have been checking ph and ppm every day this past week and its been golden and rock steady. i plan on checking again when i change the res but other than that I'm putting the ph pen down, gonna try and relax and just watch the plant.
i have not done this next bit yet but am seriously thinking about it, but i think an air pump running into the res could be awesome, aerate the water and mix up the nutes a bit. i think the heat could be an issue for me but i am intrigued.
last thing ill babble about now, i don't think i am going to topdress/topfeed while I've got the autopilot going, if i need anything other than the mc i will mix it up in a small batch and dump it straight into the aqua valve tray, i don't wanna gunk up the lines any.
