New Grower BillyWu's first grow - Think Different autoflowering

As far as I know, all the biggest growers use soil. There must be a reason for that. Hydroponically grown weed does taste different, it's a fact. Saying it doesn't, is like saying tomatoes grown hydroponically taste exactly the same as tomatoes grown in soil, which they don't.

You might enjoy it more who knows, I just dislike smoking bud that's been grown purely out of nutrients - it's not natural and it shows.

The biggest grows I have seen on here have been soil or soilless like Promix. Jackal pulled over 7 ounces from one MI5 in Promix. In Hydro they still get water and oxygen just like soil, and you can still grow organically with Hydro. To say you don't like Hydro bud is a little crazy, most people could never tell the difference if you did a blind smoke test or something, even the elite guys.

Soaking seeds and germinating in paper towels isn't 'natural'. Mother Nature doesn't soak her seeds first or use paper towels. But it sure does work great for us :D

7 ounces from soil? That's amazing, I hope I can get that too!

Getting some nice leaves going, can see some more forming now too :] Cool tube is lower to the plant now, about 9" above it. Growing nicely with no issues so far.

looking really nice Billy, just read you whole thread. Like your analytical approach, hope that you have a great grow. Watch her in a few weeks when she starts to strech.

Looking good. As they grow, watch your node spacing, the space between the new leaf sets. Raise or lower your light to maintain about a 1" space between the nodes.

Strangely, the plant seems to be growing a few degrees to one side. Not much, but it's definitely bending. Is this normal or should I do something?

Are your lights or a stronger light off to one side? If so you can try and move it over. It's probably fine, though.

The bulb is more to one side of the cooltube itself, the plant is placed almost in the center of it so I guess that explains why it's moving towards the brightest part of the bulb.

Precisely. But if it isn't bending too far you should be good. Or just move it over if you can.
