Indoor Autos in Organic Soil with Tap Water

Called it on the 84 Day DZ, wet-trimmed but left on branches, and into 5 racks of the dryer (with ~50% RH, and low 70sF in the lung-room)...took a few hours but glad to be one plant closer to starting some new seeds and squishing fresh flower :hump::

LZ at 4 days above ground in a solo…will likely try transplanting in a few days:

…and continued issues getting the old LCs to get going with 3 fails to sprout; and now 1 in a solo for two days after being in a shot glass with peroxide but not up yet, a second 1 in a SIP after being soaked and the 6th of these seeds now started this round came completely out of the shell overnight while soaking and I planted that in a solo just in case:

Day 18/6/2/1 - GC/LZ/LC/LC - LZ transplant issues
GC at day 18 above ground:

LZ at 6 days up, and with leaves approaching cup sides I thought I would attempt transplanting…but I assume I should have soaked the solo cup well first because the roots were ripped apart and were destroyed from sticking to the bottom of the outer cup with the drain holes, and the soil additionally fell apart trying to get the seedling replanted:oops1:…so we’ll see if this survives and how:

The oldest LC in the solo is on day 2 up now:

…and the last LC that came completely out of the shell in one night while soaking, is now above ground for the first day:

Let's hope they all survive and that none of the LCs are dudes this time...:pop:

Day 20/8/3/2 - GC/LZ/LC/LC - GC Topping and LCs transplant issues
GC at day 20 above ground, decided to top and remove bottom nodes and leaves on the soil:

LZ at 8 days up, a couple days past the ugly transplant, and it hasn’t died yet:

After the LZ transplant issues I thought I would try to transplant the LCs sooner at days 3 and 2 but that went FUBAR on both as well…idk how you have soil in solos that winds up too compact, too wet, too loose, and too dry to safely transplant all at the same time in one cup, but we’ll see if these to survive now, and how…(will likely go back to germinated seeds in final containers after this mess):

It's a learning process mate. ✨️ knowledge is gained from every grow.
Let them go , soak up the light and build roots to sook up that water and nutrition.

A seedling needs no attention or water for at least 7 days
As long as you don't drench the seed or seedlings.
Small leaves don't metabolise all that water and can't root .

I hope this makes sense.
If not I will try make it clear

Regarding problems removing your plants along with their medium from the cups without too much physical disruption:
To a large extent this is likely due to the cups being so small and their shape. Particularly with the added tube (or not), the smaller cup is much more prone to disruption vs. a larger container (and also less prone to root binding problems). I use 1 qt./32 oz. plastic yogurt or cottage containers with no problems, everything slips out cleanly as one piece, and this even works well with relatively structurally weak coco with >25% perlite. Also the fluting vs. smooth sides of the cups likely make for uneven and better adhesion to the inside surface, make it harder to simply pop/slide out the whole mass.

Or if you want to stay with small cups, consider using paper cups, which can be torn, openings cut or cut off cleanly and have flat sides.
