Indoor Mozzy’s Progeny and GroBucket Water Only Organic Soil Indoor Autoflower Grow

You could also try out a SOG grow? I've put 16 (3.5L) pots inside my 60x60x160cm / 2x2x5' tent for the second time now and everything gets filled in nicely.

:baked: The GroBuckets (GB) make watering the soil quicker and simpler than anything else I've done previously…and I believe they let the plants drink more effectively in veg/flowering, much more so than I could ever get them to do by hand-watering the same amount of soil. I did top-water them today for the first time in a couple weeks because the tops seemed a little dry again.

The aeration of the water reservoirs may also contribute to plant size and growth health…can't say for sure but these 3 plants were each seeds from 3 different feminized autos I grew previously, and these seem much healthier/larger at this age than their moms were (wish I had a journal for that).

I considered a SOG but it didn't seem like it would be compatible with my RH concerns and continuing to use 4 of the GBs in my environment. I also don't need more than 1-2 ounces per plant if I'm growing 4…I would rather have smaller harvests but more variety for daily use :hump:. Appreciate the suggestions and personal experience .

Day 65/63/66 - GNC/LDZ/PNG - Frosting
GNC at 65, LDZ at 63, and PNG at 66 days
  • Continuing to top off the water reservoirs daily < 2 gallons total
  • Opening the tent during lights-out to keep RH out of the high 60s% or more
  • The LDZ is starting to thicken up in a way that is already beginning to bend some branches...maybe gonna need sticks or something (have a couple branches pipe-cleanered to the trunk already)
  • Hopefully the PNG will be done by 80 days since it was such a fast start; if so, then I can spread the other two out in the tent since they are both a little behind in development and will get thicker for a while :baked:

Day 70/68/71 - GNC/LDZ/PNG
GNC at 70, LDZ at 68, and PNG at 71 days

Hoping the PNG finishes up soon so I can harvest it and space out the other two, especially since the LDZ is bulking up so much that most of the branches want to flop over from the weight of the forming buds:

Those buds "feel" sticky from here

83d - LDZ early chop - trichome, wet-trim, root pics
Decided to harvest the LDZ at day 83 even though it was a little early; for a few reasons, including:
  • It was becoming unruly.
  • At least 7-8 weeks in flower judging by earlier pictures.
  • It was consuming leaves pretty fast already, and this plant had less leaves to consume than the other two plants in the tent.
  • This LDZ was a progeny seed, of which I still have more seeds from its mother than any other strain.
  • RH, airflow, and light will be much better for the other two in the tent without it.
  • Trichomes appeared at least mainly cloudy in multiple places on the plant:

Chopped, wet-trimmed, but left on branches (for the first time) to hopefully slow the drying; and into almost all of the chambers in the WeDryer it goes (with mid-high 50s % RH, and high 60s F in the lung-room):

For future reference, the GroBucket was not sludgy in the bottom at all, which was a welcome surprise, and everything rinsed off super-clean and easy. It appears the tap root went down to the water reservoir and took over that space for the “root-ball” which enveloped the airstone (which had to be ripped out)...must have to do with the oxygenation:
