Dutch Passion Autoflowering 'Think Different' in DWC under L.E.D.

hey seymour gratz on the germ rate as far as the lights a little overkill never hurt nothing lol i'd use both of em 20/4 the whole grow! hell either way we all know there gonna be beasts

day 3 from seed
all the ladies seem to be settling in nice and adjusting to their new homes
ive replenished my nutrients as they were running low and got a few freebies thrown in mainly some atami root stimulator, it will probably never get used
ive topped all the net pots up with clay pebbles and its just a case of waiting to for the roots to hit the res
all the babies are looking great and i couldnt of asked for a better start

looking off to a good start m8 ive only used dwc once to keep a mother I remember the root growth was amazing I just didn't like the access to the res to fiddly for my great big hands

day 4 from seed
i know ive had a few updates quite early on but you really have to appreciate how quickly things develope in hydro
2 of the 3 plants now have their tap root planted into the res and i can almost gurantee there will be loads to follow in the coming days
obviously you have to appreciate that quite a lot has taken place in a short time period so i wanna keep this diary on point just for educational purposes and so people can learn from my mistakes
ive never grown this strain before but im gonna stick my neck out here and say that i have 2 different phenos, 2 of the plants are identical while the other slightly smaller, all will be revealed in the coming weeks i suppose

day 7 from seed
did a fresh res change on all the buckets yesterday so now all 3 ladies are feeding on 1.0 ec and ph 5.8, im using formulex as a feed to start off with ill then switch over to canna aqua
im 100% certain i had a few ph issues so ive swapped my ph meter and it will fix my problems
im was conducting an experiment between both my panles,i was going to start all 3 plants under the 1 watt panel but decide to start 1 of the plants under the 3 watt panel to see if their would be any difference, the plant under the 3 watt panel has her leaves pointing down which could be a sign of light intenisty being to much for her at this early stage and the plant under the 1 watt panel seems to be doing great, also im only running 1 of the lights at half power, im sure the plant under the 3 watt panel will grow out of her shyness
my main aim at this stage of the grow is to get my plants dialled in and finding their right ph and ec levels, anything outside of this range and the plants will punish me, the first sets of leaves that you see in the pics are really my indicators of wether im doing things right or wrong, i know that those leaves wont last till the end of the grow so i use them to gauge where im at
im also getting a faint canna smell coming from the grow room which is to be expected
all plants now have roots in the res so but i stil have a long road ahead of me

Seymour, you are off to the best possible start. Right now this is the most interesting grow on the internet for the Dutch Passion team.
Our team recommend you use the maximum light before heat becomes an issue. We would love to see what 450W, or ideally 600 Watts, of LED power would do to the best looking plant, I know quite a few pro’s on the Dutch scene that are following this grow keen to see how Think Different performs. That’s her real name incidentally, with THC measured at 18% she is the best auto we have ever seen and our pro growers are very excited about this strain which has taken some time to optimise. Autoflowering strains are able to absorb and use almost twice the light energy of a traditional photoperiod strain. They absorb all this extra energy without reverting to flowering, resulting in turbocharged bud production. The results from the best AutoFems are better than many people have ever achieved from traditional photoperiod strains. Think Different is the most potent AutoFem we have seen. She gives a great quality high, stronger than many traditional varieties and on a par with the very best strains. All this with great yields. Think Different is the result of a breeding project from our AutoFem team, we used an un-commercialised genebank scorcher called AK420. AK420 is a special hybrid of AK47 which we created for this project and has unique synergy with the Ruderalis genetic integration. Think Different is perhaps best described as 60% Sativa, 20% Indica and 20% Ruderalis. The Ruderalis genetics have not diminished potency in any way.
Our test-team of experienced Dutch smokers report that this is a powerful smoke, a quality experience and long lasting high. I know some traditional varieties are said to be 20%+THC but once you get above the 15-20% THC level I am not sure that THC percentages are really that relevant anymore.
