Hi Guys, I am new here. I am a loyal reader of dutch-passion blog and because of that, I am here.

I have been watching these thread from the beginning and I am so amaze. I wanna thank all you guys for educating me. I am a novice grower who always grow outdoor in soil. I have been looking for information about hyproponic and LED for a long time. This is a different between nigth a day, my whole paradigm has been shift. From now on DWC will be part of my growing arsenaal. I already order my share of 'Think Different' seeds. I think this was the best name giving to this plant. Three more weeks to go.

I am curious what the end result would be. I would like to know more about your 'climate control' seymour. How do you manage fresh air in and what kind of blower (and carbon filter) do you use? How do you manage a constant temparature and relative humidity in such a little space? Do you give the plant extra carbon dioxide? Looking foreward to your reply.

thanks for your comments and its nice to see im encouraging people to "think different"

growing with l.e.d lights is a lot different to growing with hps, the biggest reason people run intake and out take is purely because the amount of heat generated by the hps bulbs, with a hps bulb you need to pull loads of heat out of the grow room and replace it with fresh air so many times an hour to keep the enviroment stable, most of a hps energy is lost in heat and only a small percent of the actual watts used is focused on growing the plants

with an l.e.d setup they produce very little heat so the need to run intake/outake is reduced because the enviroment stays stable pretty much all the time, its like growing with cfls but getting the results of hps, i have a fan inside the grow room which is blowing and exchanging the air around the plants , my tent also has vents that supply fresh oxygen, il open the doors at least 3 times a day so the whole space will get exchanged, the biggest thing for me is keeping the temps up and not down but 90% of the time they are in the right range for growing

my carbon filter is a rhino with acosutic fan and ducting, i spent so much time looking into alternatives to control the smell emmited from my grow space as i really didnt want to run a carbon filter, i looked into uvonair and de-ionosiers also ona gel products etc etc but they all had negative downsides so i really was forced to take the carbon filter route

as for controlling humidity again its all about temprature control, when the hot temps cool down and they hit a dew point thats when you start to get humidity build up, i dont worry about having any humidity problems in veg but in flower ill run a dehumdifier just to keep the humidity constant between 40-50% but thats only run on the low setting and i empty that about every 5 days

hope this helps

cheers for the comments everyone appreciated as always

This is all set for a historic 3 week finale, and we are all awaiting and enjoying the end of an epic grow.

We have to celebrate this so Dutch Passion will be giving away 50 free Think Different seeds to the nearest guesses for the final yield. I have opened up a dedicated thread in the Dutch Passion forum so we don't clog this thread up with lots of posts with final yield guesses. The basic rules of the competition are as follows.

1st prize, nearest guess gets 15 Think Different seeds

2nd Prize, for the two next best guesses gets 10 Think Different seeds
each

3rd Prize, for the next three nearest guesses get 5 Think Different seeds each.

We will send USA prize winners some of our Dutch Passion merchandise (T shirts, hats, grinders that kind of thing). Everyone else will get seeds. Sorry we don't send seeds there but the laws will not allow us to send seeds there.

Seymour himself will of course be suitably rewarded by the Dutch Passion boys and girls

So please put your answers , in grams, in the thread in the Dutch Passion forum. i will close the competition before seymour announces the final dry yield. Good luck everyone !

if the buds are that fat now.....i can't wait to see how fat those buds end up being!

From the looks of things, everybody dances at seymour's party! :dancer: I want an invite! :D

Enjoy the applause dude, it's well deserved. Just checked your other threads.. Good work as always mate
My eyes hurt lol. Too much candy haha..

seems like you'll have enough stash until the outdoor crop is harvested at the northern hemisphere!

Does the smell remind of any common strain, or is it distinctly "different" from them?

You're doing some amazing work. I'm just wondering how it would do with the same LED, but in soil? You've surely tempted me to go hydro, but I then I realize it'll be too much of a fuss for me. I just want to put them in dirt and watch them grow. Whatever yield I get I'm happy with it, and you can get some decent organic yields, if you do it right.

id say you deserve nothing less!!

Maybe we could do a world first growers meetin in the dam... And dutch passion could show us all around for the day, and get our jaws dropping... Dreaming....

So seymour how much u reckon she is weighing today?? lol...

 seymour.... seymour, seymour, seymour.....

Thank you for replying Seymour. From every post of yours I am learning something new. An dehumidifier never cross my mind.

This is history in the making and I am watching it live in front of my eyes. This thread got my thinking the last few weeks. I spend days thinking about my own DWC system. I spend hours looking for air pumps (specification, etc.), air stone, net pot etc. All that thinking is making me more enthusiastic of what the coming years will bring. I get the opportunity to be part of this movement as a "self-sufficient hobby grower". Too BAD LED panels cost a fortune. Hope we will come with something as "collective purchasing". Were certain members agree to buy collective direct from a factory in China for a reasonable price. Maybe Dutch Passion can play a role in this. They already have the "grower thrust" and ‘Goodwill’. Or they can start making LED Panels part of their merchandise. The future can start today!

I read a lot about flushing. Could you explain that concept to me? Don't you risk the Plant start “eating itself”, which can lead to a lower quality Cannabinoids. When do you know when to stop? And is there really a different in taste?
Thanks again!
