Well Pepe I really think afn needs the assistance with DIY considering how popular it's becoming. After building and studying cobs and cob tech non stop over the last 6 months i have been helping out the DIY section as much as possible lately. Way to many poor lighting decisions going on and companies like Amare are getting overlooked for by budget blurple panels. I noticed you popped in to the DIY section, a lot of good reading there. My 3 se-450's and 2 pro4's are the light source but DIY fills in perfectly for side lighting or cheaper supplemental.
You are doing some awesome work in the DIY section! I'm keeping up with what you guys are doing, have a couple ideas I want to try when money allows. I can see it being very addictive so I want to wait till I have the funds to do it right.

Need to get that optic foliar going ASAP!

That should help your ladies for sure.

How do you use the optic foliar? I think I have some plants with this problem. Although there is one plant not having it, so it's a bit confusing. If you get an extra minute could you possibly take a look at my grow?
@Eyeoftheworld there's a vendors section for Optic Foliar, I have a test going and there is a bigger controlled test coming.

Absolutely can you post a link? Optic foliar seems like a miracle. Spray with the lights on and it has so many benefits. I bought 4 bottles to test out and if it works as good as they say I'll buy it by the gallon for sure. This is my first hbbs grow so I do have a lot to learn.

Pepe when your ready let me know. I can help get you going pretty cheap. If you want to rip apart the Mars hydro's you could have a pretty nice 4 cob light in place of the "300" with all the parts for under a hundred. More than double the light output and half the heat. Jupiter did the conversion on his kind LEDs and with half the wattage doubled the output according to his lux meter/iPhone app lol.

I went ahead and ordered some of the overgrow after looking through @iampepe 's test grow. It certainly doesn't look like it could do any harm even if our problem isn't the same. Here's a link to my grow. It should open for you on the page with my most recent update. THANKYOU!

You know that's a good idea. I have two of the 3 watt led 300's that I absolutely hate using because of all the red light. I'll get pictures of the drivers in them and start a journal. I've opened my 600's that I'm using last summer, was going to do one of those before I found Amare. I was thinking of just ebaying them after I get my next Amare and use the funds to build a DIY light. Now I'm thinking why not convert them all?? lol I know this is going to be addictive, I love doing this kind of stuff.

The citizen 1212's are 13 dollars a piece and you can run 2 on each Mars driver. 2.50 for the holder and your pretty much good to go. Great for side lighting and supplemental or any growth outside of the Amares. Not that these will be anywhere near the enhanced panels but well worth it.

I took 3 of the 6 drivers to converting the Mars and built a 6 cob bar with the other 3.

I'm sold, the red has got to go. I'll take pictures tomorrow and get started...

I knew it was going to happen but the remaining shrubs did Hermie on me. That optic foliar switch might have helped but who knows and it's to late. I do have another crop going but space is limited since I don't have much time to chop the others.
