for gnats play sand was the answer
I found a layer on top and it's like armor for the soil

It's what I had handy and seems to help at the least. Until I can get some sketter dunks this week. Been broke lol.

I have been running the reservoir since day7 or 8. I have been using Dutch Pro soil regimen.
The plants are Alf#5 regular. Today is day 18.
