That looks similar, yes.

Here is the situation. I left this grow in the hands of my roommate which has soil growing experience. I told him all that I want him to be concerned about was the PH and to keep it between 5.5 and 5.8, preferrably around 5.75-5.85. Obviously the tard can't do that because he calls me 6 hours later and says the ph is at 6.2 where it really belongs. I chewed his ass out and told him to stick to every word on the notepad I left for him to follow, that it wasn't a soil grow and that I was basically going to knock his teeth in if he doesn't buckle down and listen instead of doubt my knowledge of whats going on here. He promptly restabilized. He didn't add any nutrients the whole time, since I have no way of measuring ppms until my replacement Hanna shows up tomorrow.

Could this be a PH issue or a lack of nutrients, or what?

Since returning home, I have done the following, in order.

Drain reservoir
Add 52 gallons of dechlorinated water
Add 150ml each of GH flora gro, micro, and bloom
Add 300ml of B1
Add 120ml of H2O2
Stabilize PH

No signs of improvement yet.

Leaves are wet due to water accidentally getting on them during a top feed of 100ml of reservoir water to each plant.

Patience. It's a holiday weekend and a lot of members are busy with family and/or traveling. If I could I would offer some advice but I'm not a hydro grower.

Someone please give me some insight here, I've been patiently waiting for over 12 hours now for some assistance.

that looks naughty mate

1 have a couple of questions

why are the leaves wet ?

have you checked the accuracy of the ph pen with buffer soloutions ??

Doh, noted.

Leaves are wet due to water accidentally getting on them while pouring of 100ml of reservoir water around the hydrotron of each plant.

ph pen was calibrated for the first time 8 days ago as well as last night.

wet leaves are only gonna add to your problem especially with the lights on, you definatly have some form of nutrient lockout due to 1 or more reasons

90% of hydro related problems are due to incorrect ph the other 10% is made up of over feeding and under oxygenated

i know you dont have an ec meter but its strongly recommened that you check the ec of your feeds as it might be to strong and causeing lockout

ive recently had the same issue in dwc and i put my problem down to ph being being out of range, sometimes plants can be a bit fussy when it comes to nutrient sensitivity, i had a pineapple express auto that showed problems with nutrients at the start of her grow but stil went on to produce the goods and it didnt slow them down

if your 100% certain your ph meter is reading correct i would lower your feeding dosages

hope this helps

Sorry I've been MIA, the roommates girlfriend has been here the last 4 days and it's hard to get anything done on the down low with her here.

I found the solution to my problem. Beyond the fact that the PH wasn't measuring properly, the measurement that it would give me wouldn't be accurate due to the temperature probe being "defective" as well. See, the meter will read a ph, then the temperature, them compensate. It's called ATC on the device. Well al though the temp of the water was 73, it would flash a bunch of random other numbers, such as 32 degrees, then compensate the temp from there. Here is an attached video of the daily norm I would have to go through just to get a ph.

Just received the replacement meter two days ago and its been blissful since. PPM's are 930, which is a little high, and the PH is now dead on at 5.80. One thing that I did notice though is that Advanced Nutrients recommends using a ph of 5.6 with their nutes, which is weird considering that there is some nutrient lockout at that PH. Will look into that.

Did I mention that I already started flowering on some plants? Yes. It's true. I am actually a little dissapointed though. This mishap with the ppm and ph due to the meter has really screwed this grow up, along with the lack of light intensity. Some plants are 3 inches tall, some are about 5 inches tall. Either way, I think that they are too short and won't be producing much bud. Gonna go take some pics now. Be back in 30 or so.

You were right about the PH, it was due to the defective meter.

I do have an an EC meter.

Wet leaves noted, no more foliar spraying considering its flowering time. Gonna flush the reservoir tomorrow and start flowering nutes.

Day 25

Flowering has arrived for some.

1/2 of the crop is looking stellar, 1/4 so so, and 1/4 looks doomed. Thank you ehydro for sending me someone elses returned defective ph meter. grrrr.

Stats thus far

Air temp - 70-74
Water temp - 73-75
PH - 5.75 -5.83
PPM- 650
EC - 1.0
Humidity - 40-50%
Light Cycle - 19 on / 5 off
Light Height - 17"

You can clearly see in the first few attached pics that some are not doing well at all in terms of size. Since returning home to correct the issue (as well as receiving the replacement meter) you can see that even the stunted/sick plants are still showing new leaf formation, just no vertical growth.
