Hi everyone. Just joined.
I have been growing on and off indoor and outdoor in the UK for a few years and currently have 2 zkittles auto by fast buds indoors and I'm in the middle of moving some more autos outside which I will make another journal for.
I made my grow cab 2 years ago and never got to use it due to a break up.
It got scratched from been in the back of my pickup for a few weeks but I have put it together anyway and giving it a test run.
I have added things as I have gone along in this grow and will be adding a run to waste setup for next run that works from my phone over WiFi and also adding WiFi hygrometre and tube heater.
I am a joiner electrical engineer and biomass boiler engineer so quite good at making things like this. It was built from scratch from mdf which I waterproofed. It was purposely built for 2 small autoflowers.
Setup for this run is:
3x invisible sun ish120 boards with samsung Lm561c a 3500k in the centre ran at 2800ma (60w) of a meanwell HLG driver. The 2 at the sides are 3000k ran in series at 2A 48w of a 24v 2A meanwell HLG driver these are in series of a constant voltage driver which isn't ideal but I had it already so used it the voltage is adjusted so both boards get exactly 24v and there underrun anyway plus the driver switches to constant current if maxed out so I think it will be fine.
Also have a Samsung strip with 680nm and 730nm that arrived today from America. Cost a fortune in postage and customs charges but can't find a decent one in the uk. Had a crappy epistar Puck before but switched it out for this. This is ran of a meanwell 24v 750ma driver with aluminium box section for heat sink. It also has a very small phresh carbon filter with a online duct booster directly attached to the filter and out the back of the cab. The fan has voltage controller I use to control the flow. Also have a dehumidifier and a few pc fans blowing over the quantum boards and at the bottom of the cab for airflow.
2x invisible sun ish 120 3000k 48w each.
1x invisible sun ish 120 3500k 60w.
1x Samsung strip 680nm and 730nm 18w.
12w epistar uva Puck attached to carbon filter which acts as heatsink for it.
Arcadi 8%uvb 8w T5 reptile lamp for last few weeks of flower.
Phresh carbon filter with 100mm In line duct booster fan.
3x pc fans.
Small dehumidifier.
Cab internal dimensions are 990mm X 460mm and 950mm high.
Nutrients are:
Cana coco professional plus coco in fabric pots.
Advanced nutrients sensi coco Bloom A+B
Advanced nutrients B52
Advanced nutrients bud factor X
Green planet massive
Turpinator
Green planet finisher
Great white mycorrhizal fungi
Also have cal mag on hand but I never seem to need it I do presoak coco with a dose of it before use though.
This is the best nutrient setup I have used but not used bud factor x with it before so will be interested to see how it goes.
Next run I will be adding Mills start-r to it as I use bloom nutrients all the way through and start r is great for the roots and has 2 very available forms of nitrogen.
My outdoor autos are in standard compost and fed biobizz grow then Mills a and b in flower with pk and probably massive aswell.
Somone local got busted last week and sold me 10L each of Mills A+B and 5L of Mills start r for £30 should be at least £270 for that. The start r sounds awesome. I will still be using advanced sensi coco indoors though its so easy not having to ph and adjust and it works amazing. Weather people like the company or not the base nutrients are the best I have ever tried by a country mile. Never once had a problem or deficiency upto now.
I have a few pics from over the grow but will update at least weekly from now on.
These are currently on day 50 from seed.
The last pics are from today.
