Looks delish man. What's the trichomes looking like on these lower buds? Just wondering. And at least you got a little smoke now

Cloudy with a hint of amber :smoking:basically there is still a lot of lower growth even with lst I would need to do a staged harvest to get the lower stuff ambered up not going that route this time so figured mine as well take it now and let those fat tops fatten up even more ya know every time I do this though I find more bud another top underneath lol so it's like I am actually getting more this way cause that stuff turns into useable weed.

Nice should amber a bit more after drying as well and i agree wirh the staged harvest. Helps turn some lower quality into higher quality. Got a feeling this g14 will be a staged harvest. Not sure though. My girl likes sativa so may just chop at once and let her have all the lower buds from that for her daytime smoke.

Ya know I thought that too maybe cause it's underdeveloped on the lower buds and could just be swollen calyxes they did seem to be empty the green ones anyway I didn't check the darker ones thanks so much for the pics I never knew they could be on the buds and in the buds I will go on a hunt tonight and see what I can find on it and let you all know.

Sounds and kinda looks like the calyxes are swollen, I'm sure you are good. But I always go over my plants for nanners, I get them time to time and just remove them with fingernails or tweezers.
I heard later in flower the pollen isn't viable and I'm almost convinced since my sativa threw out a lot of nanners and I missed a few, but I didn't get seeds even tho there was pollen coming out of them.
Early in flower tho they can be a menace.

@Boognelson87 That would work perfect for you guys! The lower stuff is still real good smoke when your ambers are how you want them with the tops your lower buds should be cloudy.

So I came up with a new method to quick dry bud that works really well, granted this is a quick dry method so don't expect results like properly dried and cured bud but it wasn't harsh, got us really stoned and even had some nice little flavors and didn't taste grassy.

Some people say using the oven can vaporize the thc and terps etc even at low temps personally that doesn't make sense to me as people decarb weed in the oven for medibles but it really doesn't matter with this method as it doesn't get hot enough anyway.

All you do is break down your bud like you would to smoke it, put it on a cookie sheet or oven safe glass don't put it in the oven yet, turn the oven on just enough to heat it up a little in there around a minute or so then turn the oven off make sure its not really hot just kind of nice and warm and put the bud in and just let it sit for a bit like 5 min or so open the oven make sure it still has a bit of heat if not take the bud out turn it on again let it heat up turn it off and put the bud back in it repeat as needed stirring the bud once in a while doesn't take too long just enough heat to slowly dry it probably took me 30 minutes and got really stoned off the bud bout to make another batch just did a bowl to test.

How is the high? I never quick dries weed but I know I'd choose a low temp in the oven before a microwave lol. And your right it don't make sense that the plant would lose thc. Now I'm not sure about all the cannibinoids and the temperatures for them all but thc and decarbing is well you know mid 200s and you don't lose the thc. I would say if there's a way to do it you did it properly. What temp did you do it at?

I never used to like to quick dry and only do it for enough to smoke (have the rest in my dry tent) but when I did it right once it made sense rather than having to get some etc cause if you do it right there is not much difference outside of flavor. Don't get me wrong I've seen people flat out destroy good green not knowing what there doing lol

I kept it under 200f barely warm kind of the equivalent of putting it over a heat vent just without losing all your weed lol.

You don't keep the oven on so the temp is no longer an issue I thought of it cause my oven doesn't even go down to 200f nothing wrong with quick drying bro actually I would encourange everyone to do a sample bud before harvest your plant is just going to put that energy into another bud anyway and you will know how you like it before harvest, break it down into popcorn nugs throw it in a bag and should dry overnight if you don't want to fast dry or leave it whole and should take a few days.

Sounds like a good method man. And it worked so it must be lol. Lower the temp the better I would think. Now if I grow a hybrid for my girl then i will try this for sure. And for me personally just don't really need to try it. I want it ambered up enough. I Just can't risk it really anymore. Used to be able to smoke anything like a chimney but now. If it has the slightest bit of uppity high I'm done for. Straight anxiety or just feel uneasy. It sucks so bad. so I just have to wait it out til its ready.

@Boognelson87 I feel ya man, for me it's a no win either way cause if I get it off someone else chances are it's a hybrid or harvested cloudy so I just say f it for now till I can get enough yield to not run out, problem is people lie about weed so much it's stupid and could land some people in a hospital especially a war vet with ptsd with a sativa people with anxiety etc.

It's been fun guys, unfortunately I no longer have the time to maintain a journal with family life and such and heck lets be honest growing is a lot on it's own. I made this journal to get help with my grow if needed but now that I can handle things there is not much point for me and it consumes a lot of time. I will still be on once in a while but not a big social media person. Have met some great people on here and I thank you all for the help!
