This dude does a few different techniques but they're all legit. Although dude uses duct tape for LST which I thought was kind of funny. Think I'll stick with string Lol

Hey goauto6! You may be able to wait. Most of the time I am to let them show before the roots hit the bottom. I pre cut the bottom of my cups off and slip an un cut cup on top of it so I can periodically check to see if the roots are clear down or not. If they are I tier them anyway. Most of the time the males show before the females anyway so I don't ever remember having an Auto that I had to tier before sex shows and it ends up male. So either way you should be good. Thanks for the info on the photos!

Here's some updates on the Buckeye Smash... They are all doing well. Weird how the first 30 days the were "auto like" meaning they took off and showed sex under 20/4. Then since I've switched to 12/12 they are more "photo like" taking their sweet time. But I'm sure that's how it goes with F1's! The 3 tallest ones I am having a hard time keeping up with their feeding. I'm up to 10ml per gallon of Bloom A & B but next feeding I may have to hit 12ml or 13ml. We'll see. I guess I should have done what Dub told me and push the limit on feeding until they show they don't like it. Well, this is a first for me on both fronts... New nutes, 1st breeding project. All in all it's been great. I just gotta feed them more.

I have to post pics of the Small Male I have affectionately named "Huggy" for two reasons lol 1) His lower branching looks like 2 outstretched arms greeting you with a hug lol and 2) In honor of Bob "Huggy" Huggins the WVU Men's Basketball Head Coach. I'm sure he'd be honored LOL Also have to post the other 3 Buckeyes that were planted on 4-21, 4-28, and 5-1. The first two have been put to 12/12 a few days ago. No sex on any of them yet. Trying to keep them smaller than their monster sisters... Well, I did veg them for 6 weeks! (Newbie breeder mistake, I thought they would Auto after showing in 20/4).

Hey my friend, the buckeyes look fantastic :thumbs: As for that male I would say yes he looks indica dom bro. On the feeding side, skip half strength on bloom nutes and go straight 12 ml per gallon! I cant get get over how much of these nutes they can take! I have fed 3/4 strength to 11 strains and only the pineapple has a touch of burn but that's fine with me because you don't want to see what happens when they get hungry!

Thanks bro! They could be better if I stayed on top of their hunger. I'm gonna do the 12ml then 16ml like you said. Gonna start pushing instead of being reserved with the nutes. Hard to break old habits! Growing in Happy Frog for a year, I barely had to feed... This is totally the opposite. Although, not as difficult and stressful as I thought it would be when considering a complete switch of my grow medium and liquid nutes... There still is a learning curve... Slight, but I'm still getting dialed in.

24/0? Really? I never considered that since they wouldn't do anything the first 6 weeks of life under 20/4. I mean they showed just around 30 days under 20/4. But, I thought you had to give em darkness to make them bud up... I don't know Noods! LOL Never thought of it... I do love how they are rock hard little nugs forming. Typical Kush!

I was basically thinking out loud... I mean they did auto, though, right? So theoretically... hmm.
I've only ever done 24/0 and it works really good for me, so I'm sticking to it. (Unless someone tells me to treat their strains differently)

I'm not trying to confuse you, though! These babes are fine and you do what you do real good, so keep it up! :head:

Well... I guess "technically" I have a early showing photo. Even though they did "Auto" within 30 days and under 20/4 after 6 weeks they would not stop vegging and wouldn't bud... Just threw pistils. I am almost 100% positive my 3 Amazons in my Auto thread are early showing photos as well. Coincidentally they are all F1's... So that was why I went on that rant about "Super Autos". Because with all 8 F1's I have of 3 different crosses... They all did the same thing. Auto'd but wouldn't bud up until put to 12/12. Too much of a coincidence... It is what it is!
