I was busy as shit today and didn't get into the Buck's room until after 3pm... To my surprise the lights were off. After troubleshooting everything I have a faulty bulb. We just purchased this unit 3 months ago and I obviously was given a faulty bulb. So I took the other 400W bulb I have in my Auto closet out and put it into the Bucks closet. So that left me with no 400W for the Autos so I put my old 150W HPS in there until HTG either replaces my bulb or I have to buy another one. At least my Autos have my 2 T5HO's in there to help the 150W along... Minor inconvenience... I'm just glad I had the extra 150W for back up! :smokebuds:

hTg. If you remember from my 2 logged grows on this site it's happened to me twice! With my 600 in my auto grow was waiting to go water. Supposed to go on at 5 pm. Checked at 5:15 it was dark. Gave it another 20 mins still dark. Went in and bulb was blown. Had to throw my MH in. Called them the next day and they sent one out got it 2 days later. That was only used for 2 months on 18-6. Then the new bulb lasted the rest of the auto grow maybe a month month and a half. Started this log on my photo grow and about a month into it blew the new bulb. Luckily I bought a different bulb during the grow just incase and what do ya know. I needed it. Called them and this time I was a little mad. Told the guy 2 blown bulbs in a matter of 4 months is not normal. Ballast, timer everything is good. Got dedicated 20 wire from the main breaker just to 1 light. Told him I wanted there best bulb free of charge and as fast as possible. 2 days later I received it. No problems yet and it's working like a charm. There cheaper bulbs stink and so do there second one up. But there Hortilux and there son Agro are very nice. They got great customer service too. If you go the cheap route you get what ya pay for with them. Its better to spend more and get more in my opinion.

Thanks Captain! I sent them an email. If I don't get a reply by tomorrow I'll call them... This is the first time I've personally had issues. My 150W system is 4 yrs old but the bulb was only used for about 6 months total before I replaced it with the 400W last year (I had to quit growing for a few years before starting back up last year) so my other 400W will be a year old next month *knocks on wood* no issues either. I've been meaning to up grade both bulbs in both closets. I will be as soon as I can. In the mean time I feel better knowing they should replace it free of charge. After just dropping $1800 on a new well pump I'm strapped for cash at the moment...

Thanks again Captain! If this happens again before I can upgrade I'll definitely do what you did... Demand a free upgrade for my troubles... and my plants troubles... :smokebuds:

I wish I had my call recorded. It was hilarious. Yea the first time they asked me to send them the burnt bulb but so I didnt have to wait to just call them with the tracking number as soon as I sent it and they would send replacement right away. The second time they sent me there best bulb without having to send burnt bulb.

LOL yeah after the second time they better not question ya! I'll go ahead and call them tomorrow for sure then! Luckily enough my autos are still young (bout a week and a half) so they should veg alright with the 150W until I get that bulb... I've always been interested in the reflective bulb, I THINK it's hortilux... Can't remember off hand, but have you ever used one? I wonder if they are as good as they claim... reflecting more light to the plants...

Since things are starting to heat up with the Bucks... They are budding up pretty nicely, but I'll wait to post pictures until they have something different to show... It seems the pictures are getting redundant LOL Hopefully by next feed I'll have distinct changes to show you all!

Forgot to mention earlier that Buckeye Smash F1 Big Male has been dropping pollen since later this evening. I'm gonna put him in the bathroom with a couple of his sisters one at a time and break out the love brush! I'm pretty sure I know which ones I'm pairing off for F2 IBL's. The Big Male is Indica Dominant. I have at least 2 or 3 Indica Dom Females... The other 2 are more sativa dom or hybrid like... You can see the slight differences but that's good! Man I'm ITCHIN' for these girls to bud UP!!! I can't wait to start to smell them when the trich production comes on... It's so exciting!!!
