Mephisto Genetics White Crack + Sour Livers SIP LOS Grow

:thanks: Van Grow - I know my knowledge base has been heightened by AFN for sure ......

Since you are an adventurous grower, take a look at this little tidbit of info - might trigger some new thoughts on your starts / root

How To Turn a Regular Pot into a RootMaker Pot

Starter soil helps but like you said no issues with the mix either - I’ve used all kinds of different soil mixes for my outdoor garden and really haven’t ever found a favorite start soil .....

Wish I coulda of seen the look on her face - She must of been like “Say What” :crying:

I’ll take my LOS and mix in peat moss or maybe a little coco and use that with success or just Organic Jiffy Mix works well too or mix LOS and Jiffy works ok along with a smidge of compost .... Here is a girl in that type of mix, which is evidenced by the companion tomato starts - Compost is where tomato seeds came from - worms don’t eat tomato seeds and they ended up sprouting but have since cut at base.

Hey @slowandeasy - why ya think, little more stretch - dang thing has a weak stem for sure but should strengthen as she grows - This Gal is for a buddy of mine btw - a non grower who I’m setting up with a single cob and a Junior
The stem will strengthen up buddy. Honestly, that looks like perfect height IMO. You can always support the stem for a few days. It will do great. And if you stretch too much, bury a little of the stem. No big deal! Your other ones had almost no stretch. Nice work, slow

Those look great especially if they make them for smaller pots tho I suppose a larger one could be cut into smaller pieces needed.
I currently use root pouches for my final pots so the thought of cutting one of those up and seeing how they work is getting me rather excited, the results may not be as good tho as I have a feeling the laminated outer shell of the potlicker may serve an important purpose.

Oh man she thought I was crazy but I'm sure I will be able to slip one or two tubs past her without her noticing :eyebrows: I'm just too interested in running a side by side comparison that its worth risking her wrath if caught :crying:

Well I learnt yesterday not to put potato or citrus into the compost along with the fact about the tomato seeds (more than likely on this thread), its crazy that only the next day you have a perfect example. Poor tomato seed I bet she thought she had hit the jackpot in your capable hands OB.

Thought about leaving the tomato  ..... Slip the worms in at night, they will hide themselves in the pot - she will never know but don‘t get caught as a happy wife is a happy life:pighug:

Hers a little video I checked out - interesting concept ..... your brain might start spinning out of control when you see

@slowandeasy check out the video - we chatted about this concept - I might just give it a try

Awwww THANKS MAN! Sending me a plant AND A COB! How thoughtful! Lol u r a good dude! I take it those are the rootmaker cells just cut into singles right?? Someone else tried to talk me into ordering the single quart (I think) sized but seem like more of a pain for myself! Don’t wanna worry about solo cups and any issues CAN CREAT when$10 for tray of those lil square rootmaker pots! At least my lil radicle bags I’m trying def help root growth cuz like it was saying with that link above in my pots if I like at the outside of it I see bunch of lil spikes of soil poking thru the side but realize those gotta be root tips stuck into side and pushing a lil soil thru with them! And only been 1 day so prob hallucinating but the plants from the big mephisto to my lil solo cup grow with fastbuds seem perkier today!

Wondering why the Strawberry NUGS @MissUniverse was growing didn’t produce as much buds in comparison to leaf matter - Plant was huge but buds not so much, Stone Memory so I could be mistaken - perhaps @MissUniverse can comment ???

This side by side by side grows between soil, coco and hydro could give us more info regarding growing mediums .....

Might be worth a watch, I found it interesting and always enjoy this guys honest and very informative videos!

LOS SIP Grow was not in the compare, unfortunately.

Hey did that video say anything about his setup in the bottom of that pot for adding air into it?? Couldn’t hear what he was saying for website with more info cuz seemed to echo some to me!! Did u see that part whether it’s like air stone or just like a ring of that plastic tubing circling bottom of pot with some lil holes poked into it?? Def wanna give that a shot cuz plants seemed to appreciate it!

I actually traded someone some seeds for the autocob he won as prize from 1 of the festivus events cuz won’t ship to Australia and I wanted 1 anyway! Gonna convert a cabinet or something to 2nd grow space til legal here and can get as big a tent as I feel like! Once I actually get a 2nd tent or upgrade my current qb’s I’m gonna build an LED strip fixture but autocob seemed easiest way to go for now! Glad to see they obv work! :woohoo1:

How long of an answer do you want and how in depth? The long short is some plants grow more leaves than buds. And sometimes you need to defoliate to get more light to the buds so they bulk up. I can go into a lot of depth and write a nice write up if you want and bring some other quotes from places and have others comment on it too. But theres a lot of other factors too like your micro nutrients too and you're in los which changes some of what's there but should increase bud size once you get it theough. A lot of genetics too. We can trace it through the lineage too. So we can go theough the history of the plant too and find out. Strawberry nuggets really is a very bushy plant. Gotta do a lot of training to get the most light. Anyway, I can go on for a long reply if you want. Let me know I'd be glad to

@MrOldBoy, I have a ton of Airdomes. I used them with my Coco grows many times. But I feel they EXTEND the Auto grow time and can potentially harm your plants if for some reason your roots dry out. I used them with various sized pots, the plants veg nicely, but stretched more. The veg and flower time took longer, kike DWC and Autos.

If you were ro do that, try it in an Orginal. The Juniors are too small, you will have a really hard time keepin the rez full. I have some extra Airdomes, if you want to try some. But honesrly, its not a great idea without automated feeding. If you try it, shut the Air pump off at night. Trust me, I had a plant in Coco get too dry once. It turned crispy in no time. The Air injecrion drys the medium out much faster. You can try an Airstone in the rez or Airdomes. But a DEEPER pot would be safer. You dont want to mess with the shallow Earthboxes and Air injection. Trust me. You need automated feeding to make Air injection safe in an Earthbox. I know you are able to water often, but it can dry your nice root system up fast if life happens. Peacex slow.
