Hey did that video say anything about his setup in the bottom of that pot for adding air into it?? Couldn’t hear what he was saying for website with more info cuz seemed to echo some to me!! Did u see that part whether it’s like air stone or just like a ring of that plastic tubing circling bottom of pot with some lil holes poked into it?? Def wanna give that a shot cuz plants seemed to appreciate it!

Let me run this by you - hope it makes sense .....

Basically he had stones under the pot with water and a circular air tube air line - it was a double pot setup right .... they had air pushed up into and out of the top of the soil and soil was wet, very wet but that wasn’t an issue because of the air - like hydro where roots are in the water 100% of the time, except for water changes - so in hydro roots are constantly sitting in water ....

With an Earthbox being an anaerobic system the roots are always wet just like hydro, not totally in water but always wet ..... Hydro gets air from a pump - EarthBox from the space between reservoir chamber and soil holding floor ......

In an aerobic typical fabric pot system there is always air in the medium as soil goes thru wet / dry cycles and that works well providing you don’t over or under water ..... We all knows what happens next - as the plant roots need air .....

my idea involves an air stone in the reservoir and put it on a timer as water usage could be high with the air and already plants in the Junior are consuming more than a gallon a day ...... So simply use a timer and start with low run time and see where we “grow” .....

It was just a Stoner thought and I ran by a couple folks with mixed thoughts and concerns but then today I saw this video so my thought is renewed ....

I don’t believe you need air 24/7 so a timer to help control amount of time / air injected into the soil - water usage .....

Worth a try I’m thinking ....

How long of an answer do you want and how in depth? The long short is some plants grow more leaves than buds. And sometimes you need to defoliate to get more light to the buds so they bulk up. I can go into a lot of depth and write a nice write up if you want and bring some other quotes from places and have others comment on it too. But theres a lot of other factors too like your micro nutrients too and you're in los which changes some of what's there but should increase bud size once you get it theough. A lot of genetics too. We can trace it through the lineage too. So we can go theough the history of the plant too and find out. Strawberry nuggets really is a very bushy plant. Gotta do a lot of training to get the most light. Anyway, I can go on for a long reply if you want. Let me know I'd be glad to

Not sure if you watched video but clones were used so that was level field as well as lights, tents, etc ......

With level field, my focus would not factor seed types - genetics etc at this time ....

In my mind why didn’t your beautifully grown NUGS produce?

Ms. U - she had stunning growth ..... I had never seen anything like it to be honest - absolutely killer ...

Talk about NUGS, with my VERY LIMITED Grow experience she is my favorite, hands down, so I was following your Grow with much excitement- I wanted to see you get a solid yield .....

So I just thought the grow compare video would help give more insight as to why?

@MrOldBoy, I have a ton of Airdomes. I used them with my Coco grows many times. But I feel they EXTEND the Auto grow time and can potentially harm your plants if for some reason your roots dry out. I used them with various sized pots, the plants veg nicely, but stretched more. The veg and flower time took longer, kike DWC and Autos.

If you were ro do that, try it in an Orginal. The Juniors are too small, you will have a really hard time keepin the rez full. I have some extra Airdomes, if you want to try some. But honesrly, its not a great idea without automated feeding. If you try it, shut the Air pump off at night. Trust me, I had a plant in Coco get too dry once. It turned crispy in no time. The Air injecrion drys the medium out much faster. You can try an Airstone in the rez or Airdomes. But a DEEPER pot would be safer. You dont want to mess with the shallow Earthboxes and Air injection. Trust me. You need automated feeding to make Air injection safe in an Earthbox. I know you are able to water often, but it can dry your nice root system up fast if life happens. Peacex slow.

Hows about we try it with a couple tomato plants - side by side ..... one with other without ....

Yea I would not leave pump run for any extended time, would start with 10 minute cycle every hour - nothing crazy for sure - we know soil needs air - seems addding some would have positive effect just “thunking”.

Not knowing how long the rez lasts, I would onky feel comfortable running for a few hours each time you fill the Rez. This way it never runs dry. Thst is my fear with Air injection and Juniors. Low profile and fast to depleate the rez. You dont want to blow air and dry the Soil out too much. Thats why theybwork with Autopots. The bottom is always wet. I had my air on a timer. I am not trying to stop yoi. Just want yiu to prepared if yiu trym. It extends the total geow rime onCoco plant. Which I dont wanrltm maybe it will be differenr insoil. Good luck.. slow

I hear ya on running time and drying out - don’t even think I would run more than 20 minutes total time between tent visits- at night timer probably be shut down - they already are 2/3 dry after 7 hours anyways - so no air at night in my mind ..... Thanks - MOB

I am NOT super pleased with this girl - think I had too much nitro in the soil - the soil in her container was some leftover of this and that and some from previous grow I amended - PLUS light intensity issues, sigh .....

Anywyas not bad, hope she smokes well, still 3 -4 weeks away from taste test!

What day is she on now? I think you have to realize that the true Indica 24 Carat pheno is not going to get that large and can also be N sensitive due to genes, small size, and fast grow cycle length. I actually think it looks about the size of the smaller pheno, so dont even worry or over think it. It is 100% the pheno and 24 Carat by itself is the most Indica don strain in general of Mephistos to be honest. I had some smaller ones than that in the past of straight 24 Carat. I have done a lot of them. Some can be small, single bud plants almost. Peace slow

Well I gave the clovers a haircut last night and stuff was a thick pain in the ass! Not sure if I’m supposed to let it get that thick or just use small amount of the seeds from it next time?? I did notice as I was chopping it last night there were quite a few mushrooms growing on both so not only on the pumpkin soil but also the stuff I mixed up!


And may not be as big as u like/expected but 24c def looks nice n happy!
