Total n00b here, on my first grow and to be honest it is not going great! I jumped in feet first without doing the reading, and put them in some too hot, cheapo, b and q Verve compost, which led me to this forum and wow I have learnt a lot, and have infinite things left to learn! All part of the fun ☺
Anyway, thought I'd stop lurking and say hi.

Well, seen as you asked, but be warned, get comfortable, and light a J because this is a long and cautionary tale...So has the verve compost fried your plant?? Are you starting again? You're in the right place now for a hand to see a successful grow through
Thanks for the welcomes and the tips
Well, seen as you asked, but be warned, get comfortable, and light a J because this is a long and cautionary tale...
My very first plant, RQS Royal Gorilla Auto, is doing suprisingly well considering the abuse...started off in a small pot (oops), left on the windowsill for about 3 weeks while waiting on my tent (oops again), then finally transplanted into a big pot under some light. After putting in the big pot (no nutes), it started clawing, dark leaves and slow growth BUT after a few more weeks she was looking better. Now on week 9 and her bottom leaves are yellowing, and she's perhaps a little hungry for N. I'm not expecting anything in the way of yield, but she looks like it will finish and has lots of really hairy bud sites now, which I'm happy with for a first plant! This brings me onto poor, poor plant 2...
...the second was planted a couple of weeks later in the same mix out of necessity (It was peak Corona and all shops were closed) but I thought I'd give it a shot seen as the first recovered OK...this was a freebie, bakery seed co. Auto Critical Cheese, and it is totally fried. Started straight in a big pot, in the tent with light, no nutes - right from a small seedling there was some serious clawing and now the poor thing is fried to bits, haven't given her a drop of nutes. It's about week 6/7 on this one and a really sorry sight to behold. Still got her there in the tent looking all sad, but think it's time to pull the plug, RIP.
A couple of weeks later, I got down to the grow shop, but they had no Biobizz light, just AllMix, cos of stocking problems. That was it for soil. So I grabbed a bag of that and a bag of coco, thinking I'd mix them around 50/50 to dilute the AllMix...got a couple growing in this now (50% AllMix 50% Coco) and although it's not the medium I wanted, or what I'll use next, the plants are much happier than the first too and growing much faster, looking really bushy and lush at the mo.
End of rant! Haha.
Question: I can't get hold of any BioBizz light mix, is the Canna Terra Professional Plus any good?
You have to post up some pics of your plants! Having read your descriptions I really think you should shareThanks for the welcomes and the tips
