New Grower trim leaves during budding

hope you guys can take my sence of humor, here what I been seeing

The don't trim crowd - lots of words as to why not
The trim crowd - lots of buds

*my buds are never leafy, mostly solid nuggets and I've own both strains ..... I use a combo LST anf trimming.... the only way you'll ever really know is 'Give it a try' then pick a side

here's the results of leaf cutting or 'haircuts' I would have never gotten this many bud sites / buds had I not cut the leafs, I give them massive haircuts almost every week until they start budding then I cut the ones that block a bud site I do this to all my plants.. can't grow the buds if they're being blocked you can sacrifice some leafs for new bud growth the plant can handle it if it's healthy with plenty of light..as you can see :key:

All you have shown here is one plant at two different stages of maturity, of course it had small bud's it looked to be just leaving pre flower, and it's obviouse your quote un quote after picture is much later in the plants life..so I hope you get my sence of humer when I say you proved nothing!

if you cut off a leaf, make sure you get it at the bottom of them stem in case you forget later when your weed has a bunch of dead stems in it

what more do you need to see? ..here some for you before and afters (another plant) befores -hardly any bud sites / very few- afters lots of 'new' bud site growth they won't grow if they don't get direct light (it helps them)
the just trimmed plant will 'explode' in a day or two

I have more pictures of other plants all looking the same way, lots of bud sites - lots of big buds...can't convince me, I'll stick to trimming!
*correction I did prove something...some folks really take this 'non-trimming' stuff too serious!

Tucking over trimming any day

what if you have so many leaves there is nowhere left to 'tuck' your leaves......unless you tuck leaf under leaf, under leaf (and then they die off from lack of light)...I think everyone that is against trimming has never really done it.. if not maybe we can see some comparison shots trimmed vs not trimmed?...but to me it's an old subject that you'll have to figure out for yourself no sence argueing about it

What is important to remember is strains vary from one to the other... what works for one might not be good on other's....I think your dwarf strains dont handle it well because they tend to have less leaf to begin with and to pic them off is only slowing down photosynthesis so your slowing veg growth down , in a plant that already has a short life cycle.. while your larger strains and satty dom's tend to have longer life cycles, I'm not saying that bud head does not grow some big deep water culture girls, but I am saying look into what you have and weigh it out, some people spend good money on beans and to tell them to go a head and trim it, when it might stunt it? well that is a waste of money.......ya or nay is not the question, what is the question... What strains respond well would be better?

I have done very slight trimming in the past and results were good but also good results without.
Some one put this to bed by doing a near scientific comparison.

Clones of equal vigor, strain etc and both with measured water, lumens, medium. Etc.
Do one trim and one without.

I for one will be trying to not trim and will be using a mixture of lst and tucking :D

this is one topic that will never 'put to bed' ....there always be the non trimmers, the trimmers, the curious that get too scared to try after reading all this, and then there's the courageous ones or 'gamblers' that'll give it a try going for a big reward payoff....on my new grow journal I will be doing lots of LST and 'haircuts' if anyone wants to follow along https://www.autoflower.org/f5/bud-heads-grow-journal-21651.html

would this be a good test: trim 1/2 of the plant and leave the other 1/2 alone?... I might try it on my current grow
