This thread is a PERFECT guide to a simple Drain To Waste setup:
Cliffs:
Rinse thoroughly with water, use 1/4 strength nutes for a few weeks, feel it out, then get to full strength (750ppm for me on Mossy's JEM) within 2 weeks and leave it there. Drop the Micro 3 weeks before harvest, drop the bloom 5 days before harvest. I use a 6/9 Micro to Bloom ratio with the Gen Hydro products, 5.9pH adjusted RO water.

All I can say about coco ...is it makes some tasty smoke lol ..
Roots Organic has a birds nest coco ...that has been the best I've seen ...it looks like actually birdnesting material ...very fine threads ..
I dunno but I got some coco sort of sitting in a Poop mix that's basically from Subcool less the Roots dirt he adds ...but I have all the guanos greensand azomite blah blah ...lol ..
Another thing im gonna try is I have all the poops right ...
Mix them and use coffe filters as a tea bag ...
Then just put them on the top and as I water im gonna wash through them ...
Just another experiment ...

Note about Canna's Professional Plus+ coco
DO NOT wash the canna coco before you plant your seed or cutting
It is not nessesery to water / rinse with canna coco in advance it is recommended to add 2ml of A + B grow coco nutes and this will last a few days to get them started as the coco has been treated and has some goodies already in it. this is from canna themselves
I personally fill my pots straight from the bag and water with A + B grow and root stim ph'ed to 5.8 with an ec of around 0.4 / 0.6 for the first few days then start to up it a little , but this is all in my diary
Could a moderator move my diary to the coco section, if you could cheers

If I bought a Bale of Coco tek coco mix what do I have to do with it before I put my beans in it? It states "expands up to 5 times" How do I get it to "expand"... This is the part I'm not grasping mentally when it comes to this "brick" thing... Or Do I just fill my bags with a little bit of this stuff and water? Then watch it expand? Sorry to be asking some stupid questions! LOL I'm not the brightest star in the sky! And anyone can answer this please... not just Grad...

Rebel just read your 1st post again yes you can get the coco in bale/growbag styles mate and use like one
OK so I CAN use it just straight out of the bale to my grow bags no problem?

First rebel thanks for the like bomb, lol , as for the bales or blocks of coco i only use loose coco and its already been treated but you would have to ask the supplyer of whatever brand if it requires rinseing to get rid of exess salts mate if your not sure let me know and i'll dig around buddie. i know canna do " COGr " bales just jump on the net for a looksy all the info is there on there web site
and cheers for the slap, i stopped drinking a few years ago ( arse hole with a swally ) and now this is my hobby i dont do it for reward i just enjoy growing plus the obvious benefits and try to produce great plants mate im quite a new grower and done a few soil grows with succes and like evolution , coco is the next step Rebel.
the trick with coco is THERES NO TRICK its just simple and you have total control , just now my girls are sucking up the Mg / cal and showing a slight diff so upped the Mg/cal so this will get to them almost immidiately its just so quick and you will see a difference in size , im hopeing the friut im growing dont get to big for me to handle but if im doing say starryder or the TDs i would have to concider dropping a pot size to 15lts as they can get out of hand and quickly, trust me i know, lol
You'll get more info in my diary Rebel and will try to put as much info as poss into it mate as i go and the good thing is its just starting to get giggy so happy days ,
