Indoor Teetee's 2021 Monster Hunt

Looking very nice in there, is COCO your 'always' medium?
My first ever grow was in soil.
Here she is at 10 weeks...

So impressed with that mighty haul, I decided to try Coco after seeing Ledbud grow a huge Automazar using the early LED panels from LED Hydroponics, and never looked back!

I am a fan of COCO, it is what I have used most of my growing tenure, running soil and living soil now - but keep my coco going for behemouth plants - its the only way

Day 48 - Early flowering and a bit of stretch
Since the last update on day 39, they've really started to fill up the space.
This morning, 9 days later on day 48, this is what I see when I open the tent....
Day 48 Group1.JPG

That's the Banana Blaze there in front, completely obscuring the view of the Lemon Kix and Orange Bud behind.
The LEDs give away their position.

Notice all I have for air circulation is the large floor fan with a rotating grill.... more on that later.

From a higher angle, you can see them at the back, the LK on the left and OB on the right....
Day 48 Group2.JPG

All shots today with the lights off, so you can see the plants in natural light.... all nice and green, no tip burns etc.

Probably the only issue at the moment is a bit of early heat stress as indicated by the upturned serrated edges of the leaves.... having that floor fan is not enough now, so I put a couple of smaller clip fans up above the canopy. Although it's 'winter' here, it's still 25°C plus!!!

The Orange Bud looks like a different plant compared to 9 days ago. She was growing OK before, just her leaves looked a bit strange. Now that seems to have sorted itself out on its own.

I changed nothing, apart from her position in the tent, I just carried on giving the same mix I've been giving for the last few weeks.

Here she is from above....
Day 48 OB1.JPG

You'd never guess there was any problems!
Here's a front view...
Day 48 OB2.JPG

Lots of nice stems forming, but (and I have been saying this for a few weeks now about all of them) she needs a good defoliation lower down.

She's certainly stretching a bit and the bud sites are forming nicely...
Day 48 OB3.JPG

The Lemon Kix has always been the smallest of this run, and now she's squeezed into the back left corner.

From above you can see she's merging into the Orange Bud beside her....
Day 48 LK1.JPG

A front view shot shows her surprisingly numerous stems developing nicely.....
Day 48 LK2.JPG

A bit of defoliation will make it easier for those stems to get some light and air in there.
Her main stem shows the flower sites are coming along well.....
Day 48 LK3.JPG

That just leaves the mighty Banana Blaze.
Here she is from above....
Day 48 BB2.JPG

She could have a whole tent for herself!

From the front, you can see how big a girl she is....
Day 48 BB3.JPG

....and from a different angle it seems like there's gonna be some nice long candy canes on their way!!!
Day 48 BB1.JPG

Her main stem shows a bit of heat stress, but those buds are more developed than the other two....
Day 48 BB4.JPG

I wanted spend some time with my girls this weekend, I get Fridays off, so I'm already off to a good start... photos done!

I also changed my carbon filter, the old one was a cheapo and about 2.5 years old. To add to my paranoia about the local fuzz, the garage has been stinking of weed lately, so it was time to get a new one... Rhino Pro, which is substantially chunkier and so hopefully has a bit more carbon in it.

I also installed the clip fans, and all I have to do now is do the bloody defoliation, and I might get on with that this arvo.... well maybe....

I'll be back in the next couple of days to show you...... don't hold your breath!

Beautiful m8.. monster building :worship: and Fridays off eh.. hardly a job at all really is it lol 07.18 here and I'm getting ready for a Friday in magnolia office world.. bong time methinks.

Can't wait to see those babies fill in.. another ton of bud on the horizon :smoking:

As I said in my last post, I made a few changes to the set up.
Putting in some air circulation fans above the canopy was important to keep the effects of heat stress to a minimum.
Also I put an new carbon filter in, it's a lot bigger and certainly the smell has gone in the garage.
Finally I added another Skyline 400 to give the huge Banana Blaze a bit more light.

It was tricky getting the extra light in because of the large filter, and so I angled the light onto the BB to make it fit....
Day 50 BB1.JPG

You can also see some stakes in the Banana Blaze there in front... I put 3 in either side and just pulled her out to the sides a little, then I gave her a good snipping underneath and inside her depths....
Day 50 BB2.JPG

I didn't go as hard as my old mate @hope2grow .... I kept a lot of leaves down below, but made sure to cut off any thin weedy flowering sites and stems that won't reach the top.
Day 50 BB3.JPG

As those lower leaves are nice and healthy, I left them on so they can do their thing. The moment they start turning, I'll whip them off so the plant can concentrate on making fat buds higher up.

The Lemon Kix was squeezed into a small corner at the back, on the left. She was pretty bushy inside so I gave her a good clear out to let some light and air get in....
Day 50 LK1.JPG

She's got a bit more room now, and I'm hoping those stems will be thick with bud as she progresses....
Day 50 LK2.JPG

Lastly the Orange Bud....
Day 50 OB1.JPG

Although she's also squeezed up there in the back (on the right), she's got a bit more space than the Lemon Kix.
Again, lots of stringy undergrowth removed, and she's all set for flowering now....
Day 50 OB2.JPG

An aerial shot shows them looking very happy....
Day 50 Group.JPG

It's day 50 today and the beginning of week 8, so I'll be thinking about the next step... PK 13/14. I will start giving that to the Banana Blaze later this week, but the other two will need to develop more in the way of flowering.
I try to time it so that they have 3-4 weeks of flowering after a week on the PK.

Up until week 6, I was feeding every 2 days, then I switched to daily feeds.... the same mix for all of them. Now I have to mix up 2 buckets of different feed for daily feeds, so the watering has ramped up and will stay busy now for the rest of the grow if I want to get the best I can out of them.... 1st world problems, eh?

Anyway, that's it for this week, hope you all have a good 'un!

And that's how u build monster plants people :worship: that banana blaze wants to take over the tent m8.. girls blew up and are lookin beaut as usual.. and how many of them 400s do u own man hahaha u just keep whippin em out lol 'so I stuck another 400 in' :crying: does Muddy live beside you? :crying:lookin forward to these girls getting into flower proper. Keep up the good work my friend.
